The Turbolift slid up, heading smoothly towards deck twenty three. The woman onboard the turbolift frowned as she studied a PADD in her hand. “Makes no sense why there isn’t a bridge on deck one…” She sighed and shook her head. “Well no use in crying about it…” The turbolift stopped, and there was a soft ding before the door slid away to reveal the woman. She stepped out of the turbolift into the corridor and with little hesitation as she passed through the corridor she read the tags on the door. Stopping outside of the one that stated CO Ready Room she nodded and made sure her braided bun was pulled tight, and adjusting her uniform she then reached up and pressed the call button beside the door.
lt. J.G Kevasi Tulbrad, CMO

“Come,” called a female voice from inside, the door sliding open on the command revealing a woman with captain’s pips sitting at her desk. Her long blond hair was secured back in a single plait. She regarded the newcomer with dark eyes.

“You must be my new CMO, yes?” She asked with a kind voice.

The woman stepped forward a few steps once the door opened. She then took a couple of steps to the side, so she cleared the doorway incase someone were to suddenly barge in on emergency. She took position there standing at an attentive stance. “Yes Captain.” She said somewhat curtly, her tone filled with respect. The 5‘7 woman stood at attention, her fiery red hair pulled back into a braided bun. She looks very human, though her iris are as black as her pupils are, giving no discernable difference between where one ends and the other begins. “I have cleared medical and psych.” She states softly. “I am Dr. Kevaski Tulbrad. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Captain.”

“Nice to meet you as well, I’m Captain Freja Andreassen,” Freja nodded, “We’re quite happy to have you aboard, there’s been a bit of turnover in the CMO position, so I do apologize in advance if you find our medical records a bit spotty. I’ve alerted my senior staff that you might be checking in if anyone is a bit overdue for a medical physical and whatnot. If anyone gives you static, let me or my XO know, we’ll help handle things. I’m a firm believer that in order to be the best officer, you need to be of sound body and mind so I don’t tolerate people who seem to think physical exams are optional. Also, please let me know if I’m due for mine. I find now that I’m CO, whilst I can handle the demands of the job, things do slip my mind from time to time so don’t hesitate to corner me if necessary, you have my permission,” she smirked.

Kevasi nodded and listened attentively. She looked thoughtful for a minute and then chuckled herself. “Will do Captain. Depending on how dodgey these records are, I may have to instate a ship wide medical evaluation. I to believe so, and it is my job to keep everyone in tip top physical shape.”

“So with that out of the way, do you have any preliminary questions for me about the ship?” Freja asked.

She paused for a moment and then nodded. “As I understand the ship marine exploration vessel, designed more towards rapid tactical response. That being said my area of expertise is pharmacology and general physician. I have little experience with triage, but it will be a good experience.” She said giving a smile. “So long as I do not have to trick my commanding officers, or other heads into manditory sick leave, if it becomes necessary.” She gave a smile that knew.

“Most everyone is pretty much on the same page. I would say if you encounter any issues with the marines, follow up with Colonel Lardel,” Freja spoke with a nod, “It can be tricky sometimes to navigate their ranks, but if you approach things from being open and willing to accomodate, you can generally avoid most issues. If you need any pointers, let me know, I can usually give you some tips on how to approach most issues. I used to fly fighters as part of Starfleet, so I encountered marines occasionally, you had to learn to get along if you wanted to get anything done.”
