After some moments Jen Replied. =^= Very good. Have the company medics triage the troops. Break out combat kit. Radios. Weapons, if not already done. Those able and well enough to move reassemble into squads. A Company move up decks. B Company move down decks. You’ll run into a maze of forcefields. Lifts are down. Comms are down. Go deck by deck and secure the deck, enlist able bodied to assist, medics to set up localized infirmaries. And move on. Report each deck status. We’ve not heard from much of the Fleet and we’re as banged up as you so expect a lot of injuries as you go. And if you reach Flight before we get contact, I want birds in the air ASAP. Acknowledge orders, Captain. =^=
- Jen

=^= Roger that XO. A goes up, B goes down, break out the heavy weapons, and give the fly boys their wings. Recommend monitoring Marine Tac 2. We only have a limited number of the portable comm units, and will operate on that frequency for individual comms. Comm check is every 15 minutes. A Company over and out. =^=

Shutting off the comm unit Kate packed it up and slung it over her back.

“Colonel,” she said turning towards Georgio. “I’ll get A Company moving, as we have more ground to cover. If I may.”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

“Go” Elsamine ordered “Check in every 15 minutes.” She said and looked at Kate “We need to set up a command center. We can use our ready room.” She said “Each team takes one of the combat comms with them and a two medics to set up the triage.” She said as she watched her men move quickly.

A Lieutenant ran up, “We’re locked in Ma’am.” He gestured with his hand in a chopping motion towards each of the exits. “We have cross sectional bulk heads down all over the place. As far as we can tell there isn’t a way out in any direction. No force fields though… we could use shaped charges?” The Lieutenant suggested using explosives inside a pressurize ship that had sustained an unknown amount of damage.

Kate cursed, “Charges are a bad idea. We have no idea how much force the Chimera could take before we blast out an outer bulkhead. Manual overrides are not working? Any chance we could short circuit the motors with an external power supply, and get them to raise?”

“Use the jefferies tubes to secure each deck.” Elsamine suggested.

In a distant corner of the deck… “Halt.. Identify yourself....” then a few moments later. “Anyone have eyes on two hostiles?”

GM

“Report!” She yelled as she drew her sidearm and ran towards the marine who had called it in.

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

The Captain ran up to two marines arguing. “I’m telling you I saw two people right there,” he pointed into a darkened corner.

The second marine, Lance Corporal Hicks, shook his head, “There is nothing there man, you saw nothing. “

The First Man, Private First Class Hudson, shook his fist at the second “I know how to see, dumba$$, two figures, right the F, there.” He now started gesturing at the corner with his rifle. “Identify yourself or I’ll fire.” He yelled.

“I’m the dumba$$, you fire into that corner you’ll kill yourself and a half a dozen other men with the ricochet. Put your weapon down.”

GM

A-ten-hut!” she yelled as walked up to the two marines, just staring right at them.

The duo came to attention, but the feeling of hostility between the two of them was palpable.

Elsamine ran up and shone a light in that corner and up the wall and looked at Kate “Personal cloaking devices. Get me a tricorder.” She said “She had only heard about personal cloaking devices but she wouldn’t put it past the enemy to have them “Only fire if you actually have a solid figure to fire on.” She ordered “Keep your heads gentlemen, you lose focus you die.” She said as a young officer ran up with the requested tricorder setting it to scan for tachyon particles she began looking around the corridor that they were in.

She looked at Kate “Inform the units that they may be cloaked.” She said

MCO

The tricorder detected nothing in the tachyon range out of the normal.

At about this point a call came through from Jen. =^= CIC to Marine Deck. Status on getting moving? Barring getting a door going cut you way though decks and rappel through or climb up. This is no time for niceties and it will given the engineers something to complain about later. Ship CSO is here. I want to connect her with a recce squad with MB’s to give us some visual outside through the windows. She will have the comms with you after this. =^=
- Jen

Kate reached around and unhooked the hand unit from the pack. =^= Standby CIC. I’ve got two knuckleheads here who are pretty reliably claiming that they saw an intruder on our deck.=^=

“Cloaked?” The lance corporal looked at the commander. “How’d they get in here?” He questioned. Although the answer to that question was above his pay grade. He made a couple of hand signals coupled with the verbal commands that followed his COs orders.

The private pulled out a combat tricorder. “Nothing in the EM, MC, or Heat bands,” He shook it once angrily. “There’s too many of us in here for motion detectors to work with any reliability.”

GM

OOC: I recall a PFC Hudson from the movie Aliens … why does that not comfort me? <G> .. Gene

OOC: It wasn’t designed to comfort you. In fact the feeling should be very similar.

“Colonel, recommend you keep B Company here, and see if they can track down whatever these two saw. I’ll take A Company up to the flight deck. See if the flyboys can get out there to keep us from going boom.”

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

Elsa nodded “Make it happen Kate.” She said “Keep your heads on the swivel and report in every 15 minutes.” She said and spoke to the young Marine that had the radio =^=CIC this is Captain Georgio, we have potentially two intruders. We’re continuing to search. We will be clearing deck by deck. Will report when we have more information.=^= She stated =^=A Company is heading to the flight deck to help get the fighters in the sky.=^=

MCO

“Aye Colonel.” Kate stepped back and motioned one of the other marines over and handed him the comm unit. She tapped her short range comm unit for her company.

=^= A Company move out. We are on the move. I need a demo team here, and break out the climbing gear. Command says we are to make some short cuts. =^=

The Private First Class stared at his tricorder for a moment, flashing the screen to the lance Corporal who pursed his lips… “Permission to report, Sir.” Hicks spoke for the two of them… technically they hadn’t be released from the attention.

In the background a team had climbed to the ceiling and was placing shaped charges there. The team on the ground was already ready. “Permission to detonate?”

GM

Kate looked over at the work the demo team made to cut the hole in the ceiling. It was clean and neat. “Permission granted.”

As the rest of her company started to stream in, she held up her hand and motioned the company to stay back. “As soon as we have our access hole, 1st Platoon goes up, secure the deck. We keep cutting holes until we get to the flight deck. 2nd Platoon, you head for Main Engineering. They need a comm unit.”

=^= Captain, what is the nature of these intruders? Sightings? Hostile? Has there been any attempt at communication? =^= Jen replied. He tone was curt and concerned.
- Jen, XO

Elsamine spoke =^=It’s hard to say Commander. They appear to be cloaked. We are looking for them now. A Company is on the move.=^= She said =^=B Company will be on the move momentarily going down towards main engineering.=^= She said =^= Movement is going to be slow going. We’re having to use explosive charges. So if you feel explosions, that’s us. =^= She looked around “Blevins, Emmory, Black and Garrison, take charges and head towards main engineering. Do what is necessary to get there.”

MCO

=^= Acknowledged. Work the plan. =^= Jen replied.
- Jen, XO

MCapt Hawkins - A Co Commander

An explosion that would have been loud in the great outdoors reverberated uncomfortably, even in the cavernous marine barracks. A moment later a pair of marines looked into the open hole. The hummed appreciatively and then two ropes were dropped down. Marines two at a time disappeared into the hole landing on the deck below. =^=First squad, second platoon Dog company is on the deck and moving out.=^=

=^=Acknowledged. Move carefully and quickly. Aid where you can and tag when needed for the medical teams later.=^= Elsa ordered as she continued looking around their area =^=Echo team, location.=^=

A minute later the team at the ceiling repeated the process upside down. It took longer for them to get through the hole but the end point was still the same. A squad was on the deck above and would be spreading out from there.

gm

Elsa watched as her men fanned out across the ship “You two stay alert, I’m going into the office.” She said and turned on her heel, her wrist now the size of a grapefruit, she returned with a phase rifle and a tricorder and began moving through the area looking for anything that might indicate where these cloaked creatures went.

MCO

The two officers that were ordered to attention continued to stand there unmoving for the most part. The glanced between each other hoping someone higher ranked would put them back ‘at ease’ again during this wait… Private First Class stared at his tricorder for a moment, flashing the screen to the lance Corporal who pursed his lips… “Permission to report, Sir.” Hicks spoke for the two of them.

Elsa came back “At ease gentlemen. What’s your report?” She asked as she took the safety off of the rifle in her hand. She now wondered if by putting holes in the floor and ceiling if they had just given the creatures and egress to other parts of the ship. She turned to Hicks “Yes?”

MCO

“The sensors are detecting subspace products within the deck.” Hicks had know of subspace transports… which was a fantastically dangerous and eventually lethal means of travel. He doubted that was what was going on, but on the other hand he didn’t have a good explanation of what it was if it wasn’t that. Hudson shrugged as Hicks spoke, but as if it were helpful he turned his scanner towards the commander.

Lance Corporal Hicks
Private First Class Hudson
GM

Elsa looked at the readings “Track it.” She said as she attempted to contact CIC =^=Commander, we have subspace products detected on this deck. Sending you the readings now. We are also now concerned about opening the floors and ceiling that whatever has managed to get onboard is now able to move through the ship. So keep your eyes open.=^=
