Addressing Malcolm, Nikki dropped a PaDD on his new desk. “I just got issued new orders as Squadron Commander. I thought it was a mistake, so I was coming to check what was that all about, but I guess I know now.” She said pointing to the oak leaf still on the table’s surface. “Congratulations, Dawkins.” She smiled. “You’ll do great.” Nicole offered a wink. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have work to do. You kids behave.” She said as she turned around and left.

Malcolm Edward Dawkins was not usually the kind to blush, but the boy was on fire as he turned back to face his other half… embarrassed as all hell. No sarcastic reply to Siren… nothing. Mal was completely speechless.

Carnegie turned to Malcolm. Her cheeks still red. She smiled, taking the oak leaf and walking to the Chimera’s new CAG. “I’m sorry… It kind of got out of hand. I meant what I said though. I’m proud of you, Mal.” She said, finally pinning the oak leaf to where it should rest on Malcolm’s collar. “You haven’t said anything about my suggestion yet… Tonight, my quarters. What do you think?”

Eleanor/Siren

The dumbstruck, cocky smile couldn’t wiped off his face if he tried… same as the blush still tinting his cheeks. Taking her hands in his the moment she finished pinning him and kissed each. “It sounds like a great idea Ellie..” The smoldering smile he gave her made sure Ellie knew Mal meant business. “… God knows we have… unfinished business.”

Mal

Eleanor’s cheeks turned slightly redder again, mostly due to the sweetness of his gesture. An idiot smile spread on her face. “Easy there, cowboy.” She said with a wink as she saw the expression in his eyes. “I think we should probably tone it down until tonight… I don’t want Siren or Tracer, or anybody else for that matter walking in on us…”

Leaning forward, Eleanor planted a soft kiss on Malcom’s cheek. Her hands still firmly on his. “I’m proud of you, Mal.” The look on her face reflecting the one of a girl madly in love by the man in front of her. “I should go back to work. I don’t want Halloway on my tail again.” Kissing him deeply, Eleanor repeated, as if he needed a reminder. “Tonight, my quarters. Don’t forget.” And with a last wink, she turned and walked off of the new CAG’s office.

Eleanor

That evening, Mal found himself standing outside Ellie’s door. Fresh showered and shaved, the Chimera’s new CAG eyed non-existent flaw after non-existent in his reflection in the gleaming surface of her door before finally reaching for the chime. He still found himself nervous at times, afraid to screw up something good. But as he stood there in black dress slacks and a charcoal grey button-down, all he could think about was the girl he was crazy about on the other side of the… With that, Malcolm had pressed the chime and waited for the door to open, shifting slightly from one foot to the other.

Mal

The surprised look on the Marine pilot’s expression when the doors slid open and her face came into view would make Malcolm wonder if he had done something wrong. Or at least something unexpected. The difference between the two pilots’ attire could not be more drastic, and it was clear Carnegie had put a lot less effort into her presentation than her fellow Marine.

There was a slight smirk on Malcolm’s face as he looked at Ellie’s much more… relaxed… appearance. It had never donned on him to clarify the attire for the evening, so honestly, that was on him!

Wearing an old SFMC shirt and a pair of black and yellow shorts, and holding what seemed to be a slice of bread with jam in her hand, Eleanor stepped away from the door to allow Malcolm to enter. She gave Malcolm a happy smile before asking rather straightly. “Wait… are we going somewhere? I thought we were just spending the evening indoors… I mean… I can go change really quickly…” There was not a hint of embarrassment in her tone. “I just thought… how long are these going to stay on anyway…?”

Eleanor

As she had began to speak, Mal’s eyes had roamed over the woman… from her lips down. Once they reached her legs, they lingered there for a moment as she finished speaking. He was unable to keep from lightly biting his lip. Shaking out of it a moment later, he grinned sheepishly and shrugged playfully as he started to unbutton his cuffs. “Sounds like a plan.” His roguish smile said that whatever had been on his mind moments ago had been replaced by something much more carnal.

Malcolm

“Now hold on a second!” Eleanor’s reply was accompanied by her empty palm softly coming into contact with the center of Malcolm’s chest. “I mean… I know I started it, but at least let me finish eating!” She smiled as she took a large bite of the slice of bread in her other hand. Despite the smile on her lips, her eyes told a different story, making sure that the Chimera’s CAG knew there was a boundary when it came to food.

The woman clearly drew the line in the sand, and Malcolm could totally respect that. But god! The way she looked at him drove him crazy and he loved every moment!

Licking her lips to clear them of any stray crumbs that might have been left behind, Eleanor threw the last piece of bread in her mouth and continued as she munched. “Do you want anything to eat? I mean… You will need to have some strength in you.” She added a final wink.

Eleanor

The soft growl that escaped him couldn’t be missed and he didn’t care. Breaking his eyes from her lips once more, Mal nodded. “I could say the same for you. What’d you have in mind?”

Malcolm

Eleanor raised an inquisitive eyebrow, refraining from telling him exactly what she had in mind. “Nothing in particular…” She said with a shrug. “I was not expecting to go anywhere, hence the attire. But I do have a replicator if you want to sit down and put some food in your stomach. Or we can make it a more romantic dinner outing. But… I thought the main dish tonight was dessert…” Eleanor planted a soft kiss on Malcolm’s cheek. “… but as you know, there’s no dessert without dinner. So…” She grabbed the CAG’s wrist and guided him through the room and to the replicator in the corner. “… just speak to the talking machine and grab something to eat so we can both jump to the after hours activities.”

Malcolm would notice that even though the room was very much your run-of-the-mill Starfleet vessel quarters, every object in the room that did not sport a Pittsburgh Steelers logo, was made in bright shades of orange and purple. It was almost as if the space lived in perpetual Halloween.

Standing by his side, Eleanor waited expectantly for him to give some sort of command to the ‘automatic food dispenser’ in the room.

Eleanor

Malcolm followed dutifully to the replicator and punched up a hot ham & cheese, an ice-cold Guinness, and a side of chips. The food, and strength, he needed… heavy food, not so much. He noted the room’s color pallet as he grabbed his selection and headed to the table. As he sat in the chair, his eyes ran over her figure… specifically her legs… once more in a manner that left no question as to his hopes for the evening and a hunger that only she could satisfy.

Mal

A small smirk hang coyly in one of the corners of Eleanor’s lips as she sat opposite from the fighter pilot. “You like what you see, huh?” She said playfully, winking at him. “Well, Mr. Dawkins, I must say you’re not too bad yourself. And uh… you have an… interesting… taste in food…” Her eyes hung momentarily on the choice of sandwich and beer. “You Texans are weird.”

Eleanor

Malcolm chuckled as he munched. “And you Pitts girls are any better?” He smirked playfully before taking a drink. “I figured downing something heavy before a workout was bad form… distracting me from more… important… tasks at hand.”

Taking a bite of chips, he asked. “So, you going to actually fuel your jets…? Don’t want you to, um, run outta gas mid-flight.” The wink, the fire behind those eyes… it was clear Mal had both missed her and really couldn’t wait to blow off some steam.

Malcolm

Eleanor squinted slightly in feigned annoyance. “I don’t run out of gas mid-flight, Dawkins. I’m used to flying a bigger bird, on a steadier approach, that allows me warp all the way through. Unlike yinz fighter craft flyboys, who think draining your tank on the first flyby is the way to go, but really, all you do is wave around your tiny vessels and get there before anyone else. A lot of speed and no bang.” And with yet another wink, Eleanor took Malcolm’s glass and downed half of his beer.

Eleanor

Malcolm’s expression shifted from a smirk to a grin as a wide smile cracked across his face. “First and foremost, Ms. Carnegie…” He winked. “… I don’t run outta gas either. There’s something to be said for steady… but the intensity of warp can be fun too.” The Marine toyed with his now empty glass for a moment before adding. “And another thing… I don’t know what ‘tiny vessel’ your talkin’ ‘bout… but best I can remember, you have never had complaints about my speed or a lack of ‘bang’. Malcolm chuckled as he continued to playfully eye Ellie from across the table.

Malcolm

With a swift movement, Eleanor was on her feet. Her arm reaching across the table and grabbing Malcolm’s grey button down bellow the collar and dragging him off the table, pulling him into a kiss. As her hand settled into his left cuff, the Recon pilot broke the kiss and took off to the bedroom, hauling the newly promoted CAG behind her, before sending him flying into the mattress and closing the door behind them.

Eleanor

Malcolm landed with a thump, his right hand preventing his head from crashing into the headboard of Ellie’s bed. A much more passionate growl escaped him as he started to rapidly unbutton his shirt, desire flashing in his gaze as he watched Ellie approach the bed. “Not that I’m complaining… but throwing the other onto the bed… that’s kinda my thing.” His shirt now completely unbuttoned, Malcolm braced his hands to either side as he sat up and looked longingly at Carnegie. “Now… get over here.”

Malcolm

With a smirk on her lips, Eleanor climbed onto the bed, moving towards the Marine. “You better not be complaining, Mal. Although, who said I wanted your shirt unbuttoned?” She said with a wink playfully wrapping the cloth back over his chest, before lowering her lips onto his in a passionate kiss.

It wasn’t long for Malcolm’s button down to be discarded beside the bed, and for his slacks and for Eleanor’s shorts and t-shirt to join the pile.

Fade to black
