Infected? The word caught the Marine pilot off guard. The Sentinel 1 had their own independent computer systems, like any of the other Marine vessels currently on board the Chimera, and she could see how that might be an asset in their current situation. However, a slight fear installed in the back of her mind.

=^=Commander. The CSO says that the multitude of forcefields around the ship will interfere greatly with both scans and beaming and around the CIC in particular as it is the mostly heavily concentrated in forcefields. She is checking the computer core area as we speak now. She feels there is no reason the Ranger could not act as a Communications hub though as the Ranger computer is not infected the same way as the Chimera’s.=^=

=^= Thank you Admiral. The Captain will be joining you shortly to make your ship the defacto CIC. In the meantime do what you can with scans as you are able and add that to the database of what the marines and others have added for what is where in the ship. Is there any way of determining what population of the ship has been discovered and the level of injuries and treatment? =^=

The Captain will be joining you shortly!? The words left a sour taste in Eleanor’s mouth. She didn’t like Fleeters making decisions on how to use her ship without a word directed at her, but Carnegie also knew that they were within their rank, and therefore their right, of doing so.

However, something they didn’t seem to have thought about was the fact that the Ranger-class vessel only held three occupants at any given time. As the Commanding Officer of that vessel Eleanor was not going anywhere, but someone would have to leave, or the Chimera’s Captain would have to sit on the floor. And even then, she wasn’t exactly sure whether there was enough space to accommodate them.

The injuries that occurred were numerous but relatively minor. The most significant so far was a broken collarbone and arm, even that one wasn’t life threatening and was stabilized by the corpsman that were assigned to each platoon.

With the agreement of the COS, Katelyn led the way out of CIC, meandering through the holes that the Marines had blown in her ship when they encountered forcefields in their way. She remained silent as they traversed, which was somewhat strange for the normally bubbly part-Betazoid, but the reason became obvious by the time they had reached the launch bay. Her usually bright features had faded into a display of anger and frustration, antagonized each time she found more damage to her ship.

(OOC: Going to pause here to make sure our trip is successful. :))

=^=Understood, Commander. M’Ressa out.=^= M’Ressa looked over at her Marine Captain pilot.”We will need to land again to meet the Captain.”

Rear Admiral M’Ressa

OOC: Correct me if I am wrong, but from my understanding, the bay door is open but due to the warp field and force field outside, they never launched, so the vessel is still very much on the flight deck, which means the Captain can just walk to it. – Joana
