He then continued. “When that’s secure, I want a transporter lock on every living person on that ship and we’ll Beam’em to Bay One.” Harris turned to his COS. “Lieutenant Ashur… when they arrive, I want a Security team waiting on them.”

Harris looked to his Intel Chief. “Captain Wright… can you slave their Flight Controls from the Dresden once their shield’s are down? If not, once they are off ship, you can lead a team to take control of the ship from within?”

Harris, CO

Molly looked up from her PaDD. Accessing the ship’ systems from the Dresden meant sending over some sort of code that would explore the Ardanan ship’s vulnerabilities and gave them a back door to their systems. Said code would have to be sent in a transmission and with the ship empty no one would be there to accept it. Unless of course they would hail Lorenzo and sent it over when he responded. That would be, assuming he would respond.

“I’m not sure how possible it would be to do that to an empty ship, Sir. I’ll beam over and do it from there.” It would also give her the opportunity to see what kind of merchandise the Ardanan was carrying.

The Marine opened his mouth to respond but common sense took hold of his tongue and he thought better of it.

With that, Wright turned on her heels and left the Bridge. Cal would know she had no intention of gathering a team.

Capt. Wright, CIO

Cal watched the woman leave and with a soft snort and slight chuckle, the Dresden’s CO shook his head with a smile. “That girl” He said very softly to himself as he returned his gaze to the screen.

Whilst they had already reached photon torpedo range, it would be another 90 seconds before they reached transporter range.

GM

Soon they reached transporter range and the helm needed to match speed before transport can be safely made.

bump

Orin opened himself up to the target ship to see if he could feel out a weakness in the shield grid that could be exploited to bring the situation to an end with minimal damage to the ship.

  • LtCdr Orin, CE

Having to keep the fore protected from the particles that might hit it during warp speed, the shields were naturally more to the front. However, with the Dresden in pursuit, there was an adjustment that strengthened the shields at the aft starboard part of the ship. That naturally left the aft port weaker, however, Orin sensed that the shields were programmed to protect the ship from a direct hit with weapons rather than from transport.

GM

“Sir, I can feel a weakness in the port aft shielding. If we time it right, we could possibly use a focused phaser strike on that shield and bring it down enough to transport them out through it.” Orin suggested.

=^=Orin to Kleinhoffer. Stand by to boost power to transporters.=^=

    (SNIP)

Harris nodded to the Chief Engineer. “The second we’re clear and can get a lock, do it.” The Marine looked focused as he leaned back in the Chair. As the moment approached, he drummed the fingers of his right hand absentmindedly on the arm. They had to time it perfectly for what he was hoping to a quick and swift snatch & grab.

Harris, CO

Dresden and the Ardanan ship have now matched in their velocities and there was a part of the shields that was weak and there was a possibility of transport succeeding.

GM

OOC: I will be out of town and would not have access to the internet. I am declaring an LOA until next week. The transport will be successful…

GM

OOC: Nice to finally have school back to where I can return. We’ll work through the next week until Kenson can return. Many thanks for your patenice.

Jerome

Orin watched the engineering readouts on a console.

  • LtCdr Orin, CE

Hannibal looked up from his tactical console. “Sir, I am reading a fluctuation in their shield grid. It might be possible to transport through it.”

-COS

“Confirming…” NE Edwards typed quickly on his consol, he was young. It was his first time on bridge and he was eager to show off all he could do. He’d been frantically trying to make and maintain a transporter lock since the idea had first been brought up, but between the shielding, and the different speeds it had been difficult if not impossible to do. Now with the two ships matching speeds and a fluctuation in the shielding, it was all he needed. He let out a small whoop at his success, before he remembered where he was and tried to cover it with an embarrassed cough. “… Um, we have a transporter lock. Sir. It should hold so long as the fluctuation remains.”

Operations

At that moment, Wright’s voice came through the speakers. =/\= Wright to Harris, ready to transport when the ship is clear. On your mark. =/\=

Capt. Wright, CIO

Orin remember mentioning this earlier, but didn’t say anything.

  • LtCdr Orin, CE

GM Bump! ;)

OOC: Just back. sorry for the delay. CO did say, “on your mark”. Please post that you initiate transport. Thanks!!

GM Kenson

OOC: Is that ‘On your mark.’ aimed at the COS or the CE?

OOC: No worries! I was just meaning you could get to it when you got back then like a derp forgot to actually make my post!

IC: Harris leaned forward in his chair and motioned to the screen. “Energize”

Harris, CO

Orin synced the transporters with the weak spot and activated them.

  • Orin, CE

Sensors showed that transport was successful.

GM

OOC: Just wanted to clarify something: from my understanding from Jerome’s post further up on the page, all the personnel on the Ardanan ship should be transported on board the Dresden. Did this happen, or was Molly the only person transported on board? – Joana

OOC: The shields had made transport difficult. Thus, it was too difficult to do the mass transport at the moment. Transport would be possible the moment Molly was able to lower the shields.

GM

“The Transport appears to have been successful, Captain Wright is safely aboard.” Hannibal looked up from his console. “Sir, Request permission to join her.”

-COS

After a few moments Wright’s voice was heard on the Bridge. =/\= Wright to Dresden, I’m on board the Ardanan ship. Is the ship clear of personnel, or should I expect to have company on board? =/\=

Capt. Wright, CIO

The sensors showed 12 life signs on board, including the CIO. In the corridor outside the room that the CIO was, there were three armed guards. There were two on the bridge, three in engineering, and three in what looked like quarters beside engineering.

GM

Harris glanced to the COS. “I want you form up a full detail and have them hold in Transporter Room 1. Then get the rest of your team to Cargo Bay #1 to receive our… guests. As for the Response Force, if things go sideways, I wanna make damn sure we’re ready to back her up ASAP…” The Marine then smirked and gave a soft chuckle. “… but don’t jump the gun, alright Chief? Captain Wright should be more than capable of handling a handful of pretty boy civs, so if you barge in before you’re needed… she’ll likely have your ass and then mine!”

With a nod towar the doors, Harris smiled once more. “Go on… be ready to roll. If needed, it’ll be soon.”

Harris, CO

OOC: I need to remind you that the ships are moving at warp still …

GM

OOC: Considering we beamed Captain Wright over just minutes ago, I figured we could position backup to assist in needed. Has the window you mentioned earlier closed?

OOC: No. It’s just that because of the two ships going at warp, that I mentioned that the possibility of transport was limited. Only one at a time, rather than a whole team.

IC:

“Yes sir. Chief Brown, will you take tactical.” He asked the chief who was at an ops station.

“Yes sir.” He replied and moved over to relieve Hannibal. “Have six members of Alpha division go to transporter room 1. Then have Alpha squad two meet me in the cargo bay. Have the transporter chief match warp velocity for transport if it hasn’t been done already.”

“Yes sir.” Brown replied as he assumed the tactical position and issued the orders. Hannibal then turned and left the bridge, heading towards the cargo bay. He knew that if something were to happen, he could use the cargo transporters to join his response team.

-COS

Orin continued to monitor the states of both ships waiting for the next order.

  • Orin, CE

“COB…” Harris snapped sharply. “… status report?”

Harris, CO

The second transport was now possible but before an order was given, discharge of weapons was detected in the ship.

Ardanan hailed the Dresden.
