Molly walked into the Transporter Room. Nodding at the Lieutenant manning the transporter as she stepped on the pad, Wright stated matter-of-factly “As soon as we get clearance from the Bridge, send me to the Ardanan ship.”

Tapping the commbadge Wright proceeded to inform the Bridge. =/\= Wright to Harris, ready to transport when the ship is clear. On your mark. =/\=

Capt. Wright, CIO

OOC: I am going to assume that the transport was initiated.

IC:

The familiar tingling was experienced but it seemed that it took a little longer before the materialisation was complete. Just less than a second more.

The CIO materialised in what seemed like crew quarters. There was a bed, desk and chair in a rather claustrophobic room. The door was not locked.

GM

When her vision cleared and the room finally materialized around her, Molly exhaled. She understood the dangers of teleportation but she was used enough to it that she didn’t care. However, the longer transport time was not unnoticed by Wright.

Glancing at her surroundings, she pressed her commbadge to contact the Dresden. =/\= Wright to Dresden, I’m on board the Ardanan ship. Is the ship clear of personnel, or should I expect to have company on board? =/\=

Before there was time for a reply, Wright took her tricorder out and scanned for life signs in range of the device.

Capt. Wright, CIO

There were exactly 11 life signs on board. Just outside the room Wright was in seemed to be a lounge of sorts. There were no life signs in there but tables and chairs and at least three replicators and a general computer terminal. Further out was a corridor that led to the engine room to the rear of the ship, and to the other end of the ship was the bridge. There seemed to be a store room of sorts but there were three people there guarding the store room. They had weapons. If Wright were to step out into the corridor, she would be spotted by the guards.

GM

The tricorder scan told Wright everything she needed to know, but it left some questions open. The most pressing one being, why was what seemed to be the entire crew of the vessel still on it and not on one of the Dresden’s cargo bays? Molly’s mind went back to her own transport aboard. The extra second it seemed to take. Maybe the Dresden had managed to get her in, but they hadn’t been able to take the crew out. One thing was certain — if she wanted answers she needed to get to the Bridge.

Taking her phaser from her hip and making sure it was set to stun, Molly walked through the quarter’s doors and into the corridor, ready to disable any guards she found on the way.

Capt. Wright, CIO

When she walked through the door, the three guards that were just a few metres away were taken off guard. They took a second to get their weapons to aim.

GM

Molly had always been a sharpshooter, but after completing her Intelligence training she had become an expert in both small weapons and rifles. She was very confident in her ability to shoot a phaser and hit her mark. However, Lorenzo wasn’t a common man, and as a successful starship parts developer and arts dealer, one could not be too careful about what kind of security he carried on his ship.

Running across the corridor to the lounge’s door, Molly fired at each of the three guards expecting to take them down as she moved. Her tricorder scan had shown the lounge as being empty, so she hoped that, if she made it across the hall unscathed, the doors would open and give her some cover to shoot back at any of the three guards she might miss.

Capt. Wright, CIO

The first two had gone down but the third had fired. Molly managed to duck in time to avoid the shot. He moved his hand to hit the alert button, giving Molly time to shoot …

GM

When she felt the energy blast zoom past her, Molly knew she had been close. Her eyes darted to the single guard still standing, his fingers moving– Oh no he’s not.

Wright fired a single shot in his direction as she reached the lounge’s door.

Capt. Wright, CIO

His finger did not have time to activate the alarm because Molly’s shot reached him before he was able to activate anything. However, with energy discharge in the vessel, the bridge would definitely have known of the intruder. It was just a matter of steps between Molly and the door to the bridge …

GM

As the last guard fell, Molly took a second to regain her breathing and look at her surroundings. There was the store room that had appeared in her tricorder readings and that the men seem to be guarding, and then, the door to the Bridge.

There was no time to investigate what was kept in the store room. With her phaser discharges, the Bridge should be informed of her presence by now, and she had no time to waste. Her task was simple — take the ship from the inside so that it was possible for the crew of the Dresden to take over. Ideally, the Ardanan crew would have been transported to the Dresden’s cargo bay, but since that hadn’t happened, Molly needed to improvise.

And according to Starfleet Intelligence, improvising meant taking down anyone in her way.

Suddenly, Harris’ concerned voice cut through the silence on Molly’s comms. =A= Harris to Wright, status?=A=

Harris, CO

Tapping her commbadge, Molly replied. =/\= Heading towards the Bridge. Had to take down three guards on the main corridor. Will report back when I disable the shields on this end. Wright out. =/\=

With her phaser ready to stun whoever was on the Bridge, Molly approached the doors checking whether they were locked or not and whether, just like on a Starfleet vessel they would open the moment she approached. She only hoped that the three guards she had just stunned wouldn’t wake up in the meantime.

Capt. Wright, CIO

The doors opened like on a Starfleet ship. The CIO entered just to hear the tail end of Lorenzo’s message to the Dresden. She could see the CO’s face on the view screen. There was just one more person on the bridge with Lorenzo. She was on a console to Lorenzo’s left. She turned to see Molly and her face turned pale. She reached behind her, presumably, for a weapon.

GM

As the doors to the Bridge opened, Molly’s trained eyes scanned her surroundings. Her eyes spotted Lorenzo’s back, then Cal on the viewscreen, and finally, the woman next to the Ardanan. As her hands disappeared behind her back, there was no hesitation on Wright’s part as she fired at the impending threat.

Capt. Wright, CIO

Lorenzo turned round when he heard the phaser shot. He saw his own secretary slumped over the console. Eyeing at Molly with rage, he lunged forward with his bare hands.

GM

Molly had been trained for this, over and over again. Lorenzo’s outburst not fazing her, almost as if she had anticipated it might happen. Without flinching, she moved the aim of her already prepared phaser the Ardanan, and fired.

Capt. Wright, CIO

The Ardanan dropped to the ground with a thud.

GM

Well, that was easy. Molly stopped for a second evaluating the best course of action.

“Everything alright over there Captain Wright?” Cal’s voice came from the screen. She had forgot the comm link with the Dresden was still open.

Stepping forward to the center of the Bridge so that the Dresden’s Command Center could see her, Molly nodded before saying slightly more forcefully than she had intended:

“Lorenzo is down. I’m working on lowering the shields. There’s some sort of storage room just outside the Bridge here that I want swept. It might help us solve this whole conundrum.” She paused for a second. “And Calvin, we need to talk. Standby for transport. Wright out.”

And with that, Molly terminated the call.

She knew she didn’t have much time, but before approaching what she assumed to be the main Command console, Wright kneeled next to the Ardanan and searched him throughly.

OOC: Would she find anything here? – Joana

Finally, Molly moved to the main console and tapped hurriedly trying to lower the ship’s shields. She only hoped that the people she had rendered unconscious – especially the guards outside the door – wouldn’t wake up in the meantime.

Capt. Wright, CIO

OOC: Remember that both ships are still in warp.

IC: The shields were easily lowered.

GM

In the transporter room on the Dresden, Hannibal quickly arrived. Once he was in the room he turned to the transporter chief. “Have we matched warp velocity for Transport?” He asked.

-COS

The transporter technician looked at his displays. “The velocities are matched for the moment.”

GM

OOC: I am awol now. Can we proceed?

Kenson

With a few taps, the Ardanan vessel’s shields were lowered. Tapping her commbadge, she opened a channel to the Bridge. =/\= Wright to Bridge. The vessel’s shields are lowered. We have a very limited window to transport the whole crew to the Cargo Bay as planned. Is the Cargo Bay secured? =/\=

Capt. Wright, CIO
