With command and psychology out of the way, Eshrallias was left to approach the final rung of the ladder that marked completion of her check ins. Admittedly, she had avoided her physical until the end for sake of explaining, again, what had occurred to leave her in the physical state she presented with. By now, she figured her medical records had been fully updated, giving the doctor a detailed analysis that would save Eshrallias time she did not fancy wasting on the past. She prayed, for the sake of her sanity, that was the case.

Stepping into the sickbay, her phlegmatic expression matching the rigidity in her stance, Vheris searched for any available doctor. She knew many of them had better tasks to complete than a boarding physical, but Eshrallias trusted at least one of them needed the excuse to get away from something mundane such as supply and inventory or something of the sort.

While she waited, Vheris kept to the front half of the sickbay as not to impose on those working around her. She knew well the irritation of someone getting in her way.

There was a casual bustle to sickbay as Eshrallias waited to be seen to. Nurses, and doctors moved around the room with a sense of unhurried purpose. Just another shift in Sickbay. One nurse glanced over to where the Lieutenant Commander waited, but kept about her business. When she glanced over a second time she paused what she was doing and disappeared into the CMO’s office. A couple of minutes later she returned and resumed her work.

Not long after that the doors to the CMO’s office opened again and a petite woman emerged and after casting a brief glance around sickbay made her way over to Eshrallias. The woman was young and freshfaced, she looked barely old enough to have graduated from the Acadamy let alone have her own department. Yet, the way the bustle in Sickbay picked up at her appearence and the junior Lieutenant pips on her collar inferred that the young woman was most likely the CMO.

“Junior Lieutenant Janvier,” she introduced warmly, once she was next to Eshrallias, “Can I help you?”

“Lt. Commander Eshrallias,” she bowed her head in a gesture of acknowledgement to the young CMO, “a pleasure to meet you, Doctor.”

“Yes. As aggravating as it may be, Starfleet requires a mandatory physical upon every reassignment,” Vheris gestured to the sickbay as though it held value to her observation, “I was hoping you could spare a few minutes to confirm my health for the sake of duty.” Her exterior was sedate, despite the impish sarcasm that crept into her tone. She understood Starfleet’s reasoning for these evaluations, but that did not insinuate she was particularly keen about them.
