Ellie had arrived at the transport station about 20 minutes before she was due to arrive. This gave her a chance to get a cup of coffee, she was excited to see her dad and grandmother. Her grandfather had passed away a year prior, just after she had sent Amy to live with them due to the nature of the mission that they were going on. Amy was now four and was thriving. According to Marshall, Amy was excited to see Ellie again. Paul had fallen off the face of the earth, which she had already gotten used to.
Twenty minutes later, she heard an excited squeal and a scream “MOMMY!” Ellie spun around in her chair and was tackled by a blonde hair blue eyed typhoon of energy that was her daughter. Followed more sedately by Marshall and Beatrice. Marshall leaned down and hugged Ellie “Welcome home my love.” He said and grabbed her bag “Let’s go. Amy has planned a lot of things for you.” He said as Beatrice took Amy’s hand “Yes, we’ve already baked you cookies and cupcakes.”
Ellie laughed “Well, I’m glad she’s been helpful.” She said as she followed along, it felt very different being back on earth. She knew that she was going to have to deal with some of her past demons while she was here and she hoped that her dad would understand.
