- I’m coming in for a visit, I’d like to meet this one in person * Anisha thought and Arun’s face went from indifferent to sour. He knew he couldn’t dissuade her from it, no matter what he said, so he just sighed mentally.
“I believe so, of course we need to assess the situation first, but I’m led to believe it’s dire, so we’ll need as many hands as possible on the planet. Team hospital will consist mostly of engineers I believe, the CE will want to be down there as well. We’ll have to....”
Suddenly the door swished back and a woman came in, who had a striking resemblance to Arun. Her long hair had the same tone of blond, her eyes were the same two pools of blackness, her height, built and features were similar only on her they looked feminin. She had the same cast of heart-shaped slim lips, only she was truly smiling, showing two dimples on her cheeks.
“Hello there. I’m not really sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to welcome you to the ship and this crew right away.” she said, her voice had a warm deep timbre that was pleasant to hear, while on Arun it sounded more scratchy.
She went straight around the desk and offered Brad her hand.Brad took her hand, and shook it once before kissing it.
“I’m Anisha. I’m this guy’s twin sister, but I inherited all the charm.” she said. Arun’s face had become more sour by the second, but at her last words the corners of his lips quirked upwards involuntarily.
“Clearly,” Brad said, allowing his expression to thaw somewhat. “I appreciate the welcome, Miss Onuru.”
No you have not. I can be charming… if I want to. I simply didn’t want to right now * he thought at her, but she ignored his thought.

- Oh my I could have done without the sensation of his lips on your hand * Arun thought, thoroughly appalled.
- Well then close yourself off better * Anisha thought back with a hint of annoyance. She had clearly enjoyed the hand kiss.
- We are in the same room! * Arun thought back, pointing out the obvious. It was hard enough to get a mental distance from each other when they were at different locations, in the same room it was all but impossible. Anisha knew this, that’s why she didn’t respond. It was the reason neither of them had a long-term intimate relationship. Even when they tried to shut each other out, they were always connected and the connection was vital to them.
“Please, call me Anisha. When I use my surname, people come to attention, until they realise I’m only the sister. It’s somewhat disconcerting. So, has somebody given you a tour of the ship yet?” she asked.
“No, not yet,” Brad replied. “Technically, I’m not here yet… I still have to officially report in to the Captain, after all. I was just swinging by here to meet Mr. Serious over there before I head up to the Bridge. But after that, my day looks pretty open.”
- I was about to * Arun thought.
He won’t wanna go with you and you know it * Anisha thought back. * Besides, you don’t want to either. *

Incoming Chief of StaffArun got up, a light smile on his lips. “Go ahead, I know the Captain is expecting you. If you need anything, please let me know, I really mean that. ” he said.
“Appreciated. I’ll look you up again after I check in and get the tour, we can finish our conversation about the mission,” Brad told the XO, standing and offering his hand again.
Betazoids were not great on the hand shaking, but Arun took it in a firm grip and shook it once.
Anisha’s smile she shot at her brother was appreciative, then she turned to Brad. “Come on, I’ll show you the way” she beamed at him, moving to the door.

When they were out on the corridor Anisha chuckled.
“So how was your trip here, and what would you like to see first? Obviously I can only show you the non-restricted places, but I can tell you a lot of things about the ship and its crew in general… non-confidential things of course.” she said brightly.
