=/\=Commanders O’Keefe and Reez, Lieutenants Scott and Marshall please report to Deck 2 Conference Room,=/\= he called over the comms system.

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Pilar walked into the conference room and took her seat “Chief. What’s going on?” She asked as she got a glass of water and waited for the others to arrive. She had her scheduling for the nursing staff as well as herself.

“Commander,” Brad said with an acknowledging nod. “I’m hoping to get to know my senior staff, and finalize out staffing plans for the relief mission .”

He appreciated the fact that his - in practical terms, if not truly official - right hand was the first to arrive.

This better be good. Drake had left halfway through a simulated surgery. He came into the conference room and got a coffee for himself. He sat down and looked over at the other two. “Chief. Nurse Pilar.” He said by way of greeting.

-Dr Drake Marshall

“Dr. Marshall,” Brad said, with a nod. Now he just needed his official right hand, and the head of psychiatry.

OOC: Who are currently both AWOL… well, we’ll give this another few days before move forward and pretend they’re both here, yeah?

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Pilar nodded to Marshall “Sir. How did your surgery simulation go?” She asked as she took a sip of her own coffee.

“I didn’t get to finish. The procedure takes four hours. We’re only in hour three. It’s a shame too. I was testing a new idea that might solve the final problem.” He looked at Walker. “I’m working on spinal fusion, rebuilding the spine after severe trauma. I just realised I was putting damaged nerves back together. I need to bridge the gap between undamaged areas. I already had a filament I had designed after reading a file about a CIDP patient, it mimics human nervous function. Introduce that to the damaged area, and it’s fixed.”

-Dr Drake Marshall

“That’s interesting,” Brad said, listening to Marshall’s plan. “Once we’re done here, I may follow you back, see how it works.” The last time he was in space, he’d seen a patient with a disease that had been eating away at the spine. His solution at the time had been much less elegant.

OOC: Scott and Reez magically appear here :)

IC: “I’ve called you all here because we’ve just arrived at Carraya IV. Right now, the XO and an Away Team are heading down on the surface to evaluate conditions and try and find a place to at the very least, land the medical module on Deck 10, if not the entire ship. We’re here to go over the Medical Department’s staffing plans, and how we’re going to provide as much help as possible to the relief effort while maintaining our availability to the crew of this ship,” Brad said.

He picked up a PaDD off the table and opened a file on the clinic, shooting it onto the main screen in the conference room.

OOC: Linds, if you could put details on the clinic’s current staff here, that’d be great :)

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Pilar leaned back in her chair and waited to get additional information. She opened a blank screen on her PaDD in front of her to take notes so that she could prepare her nursing team.
