Secondary Sickbay - Boarding evaluation

Posted Dec. 20, 2018, 1:55 p.m. by Crewman Jasper Jarvis (Cardiology and Surgery) (Iain Foggarty)

After having seen his quarters and changed into his new uniform, a teal medical tunic and matching lab coat, with black trousers and boots, Dr Jarvis had been escorted by NE Williams down to the ships secondary sickbay. En route he had not failed to notice his new attire did not quite match that of the other crew. Where theirs had a black body with colour over the shoulders, his was the reverse. Perhaps a way of telling new recruits apart from the established members he had pondered. However, it did not bother him more than having to wear the militaristic thing in the first place, hence why he had not voiced the question to Williams.

Stepping through the doors of the secondary sickbay he glanced around with mild interest. Having never served aboard a star-fleet ship nor been in need of medical attention while aboard one, he did not quite know what to expect. And the small reception room he had walked into would do little to change that. At least it was cleaner than the Firangi ship he had once been forced to perform surgery aboard. Striding towards the desk he caught the eye of the NE behind it and gave them a firm look.

“Dr Jarvis checking in for his boarding physical,” he said in a nasily, no-nonsense tone. “Commander Walker sent me.” He gave the NE a smile which only served to unnerve the young man somewhat.

“Right you are, Dr Jarvis. Just take a seat and I’ll have one of the medical staff see you as soon as possible.”

“Thank you,” Jasper replied before turning and heading for a seat. At least the boy had been efficient and not wasted time with twenty questions that would have ended in the same result.

Sitting down, Dr Jarivs waited for one of the medical staff to call for him.

Dr J. Jarvis, M.D.
