Brad had eventually managed to snag a JO to man the Bridge while the Away Team headed to the surface of Carraya IV. Being up there had been among the most awkward experiences of his time in service so far. Sure, he had Command training, but he hadn’t ever actually used it on an honest-to-God starship.

At the same time, after a brief check of his PaDD linked to the Medical database, there weren’t any major cases justifying his presence in either Sickbay.

So instead of going and puttering around his new office, re-arranging knick-knacks while waiting for the Away Team to return and debrief, he’d made his way down to the belly of the ship, where the Medical Modules were stored.

Purely, he told himself, to check that they were actually ready for deployment. After all, it had been several months, if not several years, since either of them had seen use.

There were bound to be dust bunnies, at least, to clear out.

Perhaps he should call an Engineer…

Chief of Staff

The Chief would also find that there was a new module system that had been brought on board the ship at Starbase and marked as being for the Carraya IV. Clinic Additionally in the system there were crates of supplies marked for the clinic that were dispersed through out the cargo bays.

“Oh, that’s good,” Brad remarked to himself. “Of course, the question will be finding a place to put you. And all this extra stuff, which should probably be in here before you go dirtside.”

Never did he stop to realize he was talking either to empty air, or an inanimate object. As long as he didn’t accidentally activate an EMH…

“Is there something I can help you with, Sir?” Michael asked as he pulled himself out from a Jefferies Tube he had been working inside while Brad was talking to himself. He pulled himself to his feet.

Packing away his Engineering tricorder, Michael dusted himself off, before holding out a hand towards Brad. Noting the pips, he said, “Lt Commander, have we met? My name is Michael Easter, part of Engineering.”

-Lt JG Michael Easter, Eng

OOC Unless this is somehow before Mike is down on the planet’s surface with his DH, I think I may have created some kind of paradox by putting myself in two places at once. Or there is a second Lt JG Michael Easter on board who is also an Engineer, of course …

OOC: Technically, it’s during the Away Mission. But if you want to change it to an NE, I’m more than happy to continue playing it out :)
