OOC: Info on Carraya IV Clinic

The PaDD contained a file with different folders of information, including data on the clinic, the staff, and a brief overview of Carraya IV and the history and current status of the clinic.

Clinic
The Carraya IV Clinic was a makeshift arrangement made partly of old mobile habitat materials and some limited Starfleet materials that the current staff had brought with them from Outpost 42 over a year ago. The layout consists of four main areas: Triage & Reception, Surgery & Primary Care, Recovery & Long-Term Care, and Storage & Medical Lab. It was an ambitious layout for what amounted to no more than 35 square metres (~3498 ft. square) and not all of it was currently functional either (see current status). They had two operating areas plus three treatment beds in Primary Care, ten cots in triage and five beds in Recovery & LTC. The med lab was extremely basic and had access to the Federation Medical Database and the storage area contained the main replicator for supplies. There was a makeshift ‘office’ space in Triage that also had a food replicator.

Staff
Commander Bosede Xerdosa: Doctor and head of the new clinic on Carraya. Betazoid/Human female; Born in Nigeria, Earth, raised on Betazed from age 10. Age: 48. Originally assigned with a team of 3 to assess the refugee situation.

Lieutenant Yirn Griffith: Psychiatrist on staff at Carraya. Due to also having a degree in medicine, Griffith also helps out with non-mental health patients. Vulcan/Human female. Age 37.

Lieutenant (j.g) Mayur Joshi: Security officer assigned to protect the Starfleet officers and clinic. Trained as a field medic. Human male. Age 27.

Ensign Anni Rinne: Doctor at the clinic. Human female. Age 34. Started out as a civilian doctor before joining Starfleet.

Carraya IV and the Clinic
The small colony of Carraya IV was once a secret Romulan prison camp for survivors of the Khitomer Massacre, but the prison was dismantled after the Hobus Star exploded and destroyed Romulus in 2387. The Klingon prisoners were freed, though some have stayed. In the last three years more and more Romulans have fled the Empire seeking stability and sometimes freedom from likely death should they be caught supporting whichever the current group in power deems to be trouble.

A year ago, the colony requested aid from the Federation. Commander Xerdosa and the assessment team reported the need for a permanent clinic and received some initial supplies to do so.
Two weeks ago a massive storm damaged over half of the clinic, reduced their capacity to assess and treat patients. The Ogawa is on an official mission to set up the permanent hospital that Xerdosa requested six months ago.

Carraya IV, in the Carraya System, is in open space nestled between Federation territory and the Neutral Zone. The Federation is its closest power with Starbase 157 only 9 lightyears away.

The set of files was punctuated with a note that the Quartermaster at Starbase 157 would be imitating the transfer of supplies to the Ogawa. These crates would be marked especially for Carraya IV.
