In the lab T’Pris moved back to her assigned console and began to set up the parameters for the scans that Tressex had requested. He had prioritized biological infections and viruses so she set that up before moving on to the environmental, biological, climate and geological surveys. She set them up on different screens so she could easily follow the progress of each one. She did have to admit to herself that she was glad to be working back in the sciences, while she enjoyed her short tenure working in Counseling she found scientific studies much more rewarding.

OOC: Reposting to bump back on boards.

Tressex came out of the CSO’s office and looked around. Walking over to a few personnel in no particular order, he gave instructions and received updates from each, and came to T’Pris last. “Hello! How are you today? And how is your son?” he asked in friendly manner, and his eyes began moving over the console and he nodded approvingly.

Tressex, CSO

“I am doing well enough as is my son, Lieutenant. Or I believe he is, I must admit I have not seen much of him since we came to the Ogawa. He seems to have made friends with the Captain’s younger brother so spends a great deal of time with him.” T’Pris said as she continued to work on the scans.

Tressex smiled. “At least he is making friends. Socialization is hard at that age. Being confined to a star ship probably only serves to exacerbate that, I would think.” and he looked closer at the scans. “Anything of interest yet?”

Tressex, CSO

T’Pris frowned as she studied her console,”There is a lot of data hence it is taking time to collate. Yes, I must admit I have had concerns with raising Adrian Sorel on a starship rather then planetside given the limited nature of the environment but I think the potential learning and growth inherent in such an environment outweighs this. Or so it seems to be. Adrian Sorel’s practical and academic knowledge has grown. ”

OOC: This is meant to be Main Sim, yes? ~Linds
OOC: Absolutely, sorry! My bad I have retitled it:)-Krys

“Exposure to new species is something that simply cannot be taught, it must be experienced. And without that exposure, one limits oneself immensely.” Tressex replied absentmindedly as he reviewed the data. One thing caught his attention. “Here.” and he pointed at the screen. “Climatological report. Build up in water vapor in the upper atmosphere over the wetlands. Could be an indication of an upcoming storm, yes?” he asked.

Tressex, CSO

“Indeed. Given the area it is in, it is not unexpected. Evaporation from the wetlands would build up in that region. What we need to do is ascertain where it will be going. That will depend on the winds.” She looked closer at the graphs to see if they predict where the moisture and resulting clouds would move too.

OOC: What has T’Pris found, Linds? In regards to the scans she had set up for biological infections and viruses before moving on to the environmental, biological, climate and geological surveys.

Krys

OOC: I’m a bit confused. Are you looking at things in the atmosphere? Or setting up the biofilters? Or at you targeting a specific area?

OOC: Okay definitely in the area surrounding the colony and atmospheric/ground for biologic infections or viruses. And then just general surveys for the environmental, biologic(I am assuming plants and animals), climate and geologic.

Tressex took the station next to T’Pris and began making a rough weather forecast on the fly. “Do we have any records from the colony about any of our focal points prior to their incident? Anything they had been concerned with at all?”

Tressex, CSO

All they would find for weather records was the few references to the conditions the clinic staff had mentioned in reports. Generally, it had been in the drier season (but still receiving precipitation) and they were in a transition season before the wet season appeared. It wasn’t an area that had monsoons, but it did have a high amount of precipitation. Bosede used that argument as a reason to have the clinic replacement up and going before conditions made construction too difficult.

“Let’s keep an eye on that system.” Tressex said as he watched the model. “If it begins to develop more, we will let the Away Team know.” and he pulled up the rest of the data. “What have we seen with regards to any environmental concerns? Anything of note?”

Tressex, CSO

“Results still coming in, Lieutenant.” T’Pris said as she continued to run her scans.
