Making his way towards the chief of security’s office, Jake straightened his uniform and checked he had everything that he needed. Arriving at the door he pressed the charm and looked around nervously awaiting a response.Ensign Jake Nawim,
Security OfficerThe doors opened immediately, as if awaiting his arrival and in the fraction of a second of peace as they did so, the Ensign would see that the doorway was filled with the strong frame of a Starfleet Lieutenant. This Lieutenant was not a small man, in fact he was almost a foot taller than Nawim and had a large amount of weight, all of it muscle, over the small Security Officer.
Aside from the look of concentrated focus directed towards the Ensign, he might notice that the Officer’s hair was cut very short before one large hand reached forward and gripped Nawim by the collar, pulling him roughly into the room and closing the doors straight behind him before, without actually moving his feet, locking the Security Office doors and shoving the Ensign against the wall, still holding his collar.
“Were you followed?” the serious voice of the Chief of Security asked him, “or did HE send you?” Rico placed particular emphasis on the word ‘he’ in that particular sentence.

Chief of SecurityTaken aback by the actions of the Chief of Security, Jake looked around the unfamiliar room quickly attempting to get a grasp of his surroundings. “What are you on about?” a small amount of fear could be heard in the Security Officer’s voice despite his best attempts to hide it. “I was sent to speak to the chief of security for my boarding meeting.”

Security Officer“Hmmpf” Rico said in reply, then froze and listened at the door as the sound of footsteps went past. “Where are your orders Ensign?” the CoS said, letting him go and standing to one side slightly, “and have you ever met a Tellarite named Gruv? He’s about your height, and grumpy.”

Straightening his uniform again Gruck looked the senior officer up and down. “I was ordered to report in with the chief of security.” the ensign responded, pondering the second question “and no I have not met anyone named Gruv.”

Security OfficerRico frowned slightly and looked at the Ensign, apparently he had been ordered to report to him, but no orders to that effect had come through to Rico’s system. This sounded like Gruv’s handiwork all around. “Where is your copy of those orders Ensign?” he asked the man, not waiting for them but moving to a nearby console in the Security Office. Moving his hands over the controls he checked his latest orders, then opened the Armory behind him while sliding a standard hand Phaser out of it’s location in the secure drawer and checking it’s settings. “And when did you leave the Academy?”

Gruck observed the mans movements and removed a PaDD. “The orders are here, I left Starfleet Academy in 2394” he responded, offering the PaDD to the man.

Taking the PaDD, Rico checked them over and grunted. Then, he slid the PaDD to one side and tossed the Phaser to Nawim. At the same time, he pulled out another Phaser and checked it’s settings as well, both had been set to maximum stun. “Hows your aim, Ensign? Can you hit a moving target?”

CoSCatching the phaser, Jake took note of the setting that it was on. “I should be able to.” Jake responded confused, before questioning further “Why would I need to right now though?”
