Zackary smiled as he passed a crewman whilst he made his way to his next stop; the psychiatric offices. On a medical ship, it seemed there was no ‘Ship’s Counsellor’, and that psychiatry was practised here as a discipline in its own right. It made a lot of sense.

The Betazoid stepped forward to a desk with a crewman behind it, he didn’t want to go pressing random door-chimes just incase someone was mid-session. “Excuse me, crewman. I have just arrived and wanted to report for my psychological evaluation. Do I need an appointment? Or can I wait?

“The Psyicatric team has there schedules on the kiosk, it’ll show if in session, when there next session is free and open hours as well. If I recall I think Commander Reez is free for this hour. Check the kiosk if it shows him open with no one in you can just chime the door and walk in.” the crewman said, it was a bit unsuusal system for many. Most ships just had one member of the team not several. Due to

His exit psychological assessment had been sent to his new post prior to his arrival. It read:

‘Zackary Alexander is a pleasant, well mannered young man.

‘He has no past or present history of psychological ill health, and has never failed a psychological assessment.

‘Zackary was born on Earth and adopted when he was a baby by a Human couple. His mother had died of Darnay’s disease shortly after Zackary’s birth, and entered the adoption service, being picked up almost immediately (no biological father on record; mother had the child independently).

‘Due to him being born on Earth and raised by Human parents, Zackary’s exposure to his racial culture is less than I would have liked to see. He has the full range of telepathic and empathic abilities of a Betazoid, but growing up, I get the impression he was told it was ‘rude’ to read people’s minds, or feel their emotions. I feel strongly that Zackary should take some time to get to know the culture of his people a little better and maybe interact with fellow Betazoids whenever possible.

‘My only note of concern is that Zackary is deflective when talking about his birth mother, and though I did attempt on a few occasions to engage with him in this, he was unwilling. Since it had no apparent bearing on his behaviour or his professionalism, I see no reason not to give Cadet Zackary Alexander a positive report on his graduation from Starfleet Academy, and wish him well on his new posting.’
