Soon after transporting back to the ship Willow appeared on the Bridge. She approached her XO and stood at the chair. “Well…this is another fine mess we seem to have gotten ourselves into.” She smiled. “Ready to tag in number one?” She asked.

The voice of the Chief Science Officer came through to the bridge as a whole. =/\= CSO to Bridge. Be advised there is a significant weather front forming. The clinic site can anticipate a good deal of rain and wind for the next three days minimum. The Away Team should be informed so they can prepare. Lab out. =/\=

Willow looked upwards as seemed to be the norm when answering a call from the comms aether. =^= Understood Lieutenant. Can you give me a more in-depth forecast. =^= her mouth twitched slightly. =^= or do I have to wait for the 11 o’clock broadcast?=^=

Willow Taylor
CO

The obviously embarrassed voice of the Chief Science replied immediately. =/\= Oh of course! On its way to you now, Ma’am. =/\= and a moment later the bridge Science officer forwarded the forecast for the next week.

Reading over the weather report Commander Brooks looked at the captain with a bit of an amusement. “Couldn’t be a tropical beach location could it?” she asked jokingly. “I better remember to pack my raincoat and galoshes.”

“Mind the umbrella.” Willow quipped back

She recognized she was being relieved and nodded to the captain. “I’ll report to transporter room one immediately, Captain.”

-Lt. Cmdr. Brooks, XO

Willow nodded and watched her go. She sat down in the Center seat and pondered the report from science. This weather would be a bit of a pest…as she considered the NE at security glanced over. “Captain…a containment field alert just came in from sickbay.”

oh wonderful she thought. With a frown she opened a channel =^= Bridge to sickbay. Doctor Walker care to explain why the containment Alert is now flashing on the bridge when I am waiting for a clinics worth of refugees being transported aboard?=^=

Willow Taylor
CO

=/\=Because apparently one of the Away Team members picked up some bug on his way back to the ship, not naming names, of course, but I’ve had to isolate Dr. Marshall until we clear whatever it is. I’ll be heading to Main Sickbay, we can take about a half-dozen of the worst cases there while Secondary Sickbay is ‘contaminated,’=/\= Brad said, already heading for the door to alert the Main sickbay crew to prepare for the unexpected arrivals.

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Willow’s mouth became a thin line as she bit the inside of her lip slightly and scowled. =^= That’s perfect.=^= she replied in a tone that made it unclear if she was being sarcastic or not. =^= thank you for the speedy solution Doctor Walker. Please ensure that, when this mission is finished, your entire staff have a full day debriefing on contaminants and exposure procedures. I will alert Commander Brookes regarding our move.=^=

Looking at the comm Willow nodded her head at NE Phonehame and waited for his nod that he had the ship’s Executive Officer on the line. =^= Change of plan Commander, we have a minor issue please be aware that anyone transporting to the ship will be going to the primary sickbay for now. Please brief the landing party and let me know when you are ready to start phase one of the plan.=^=

=/\=Bridge, Main Sickbay is ready whenever you are,=/\= Brad commed a few minutes later.

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Willow nodded, despite the fact no one would see. =^= understood, standby.=^= She said then turned to the NE at comms.

“Contact the away team. Let’s find out if we are ready to rock and roll here.”

(OCC: just cross posting from Med Team thread- Linds)

=/\=Ogawa, Commander Reez here, I was wanting to make certain I understood you, secodnary is under quarintine?=/\= Jonathan asked, wanting to find out if her heard this right.

Reez, CoP

=^= Taylor here. This is correct Commander. Apparently Doctor Marshall was a little lax in his transport procedures. However the filter systems should ensure there is no contamination outbreak and Doctor Walker has primary sickbay ready to accommodate the clinic patients and staff.=^=

Seconds later, the turbolift doors hissed open to reveal Sutalo’s diminutive frame. “Is everything all right, Captain?” Kusinut inquired, approaching Taylor. She had caught wind of the secondary bay’s quarantine status, but little more information had been offered to her.

Lt. Sutalo
DRO

Willow turned to look at Sutalo. “Peachy keen Lieutenant, we have a minor issue with contamination and refugees who need to be organised. Same old same old you know.” She said with a slight smile.

Willow Taylor
CO

“Sounds like fun,” Sutalo mused, slight sarcasm accenting it. “How are the refugees responding to this?” She asked. Contamination was the doctors’ forté, people and people situations were more her cup of tea.
