Come 1400 hours the day following the (frankly disastrous) introduction of Dr. Lemann, Brad was standing behind his desk waiting for his two most troublesome staff members like Festivus had come early.

In other words, he had a lot of problems with those people, and they were gonna hear about it!

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Drake knew he was walking in to the airing of grievances, and there was little to nothing he could do about it. Why lie to her about where she’ll be working? The Ogawa is a beautiful ship with monsters lurking in its sickbay.

He entered the Chief of Staff’s office. “I’ve forgotten. Do you prefer Dr or Sir?”

-Dr Drake Marshall

“You’re forgiven in this instance because I don’t think I got to officially meet you. In most circumstances, Doctor is fine. But now, you’re talking to Sir,” Brad said, with a hard look on his face.

He pointedly did not offer Marshall a seat.

“Did you see Tweedledee on your way in?”

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Tweedledee? I suppose he thinks he can insult me by condescending to me. “Since Jasper Jarvis is the only other person invited to today’s festivities, I assume you mean him. No. I have not seen him.” This was not Drake’s first, and not likely to be his last yelling at. He knew how this was going to play out, because he had been in 3 other offices having similar conversations about ‘work environment.’

-Dr Drake Marshall

After his banishment from secondary sickbay, some twenty-four hours prior, Dr Jarvis had spent the bulk of his time reading. Bar, of course, a cursory eight hours of sleep and time spent eating. After studying his ill-gotten tricorder readings of the Captain’s injuries, he had perused her medical record and discovered something quite fascinating; she had situs inversus totalis complete with dextrocardia. Making her quite the rare specimen of humanity indeed. Someone that any serious surgeon would love to work on in order to test their skills. Or simply marvel at the insides of one of natures strange oddities. However, the information he had gleaned from the Captains file would have to be set aside for a later date. He had bigger problems to deal with at present.

It came as no surprise to Jasper that he found himself taking the long walk into the Chief of Staff’s office only a short time after arriving on board the Ogawa. And it was even less of a surprise that it concerned Dr Marshall. However, finding himself on the same side as the young surgeon did. As it transpired, both men apparently had more in common than either wanted to admit. Today it was their apparent disregard for the chain of command that would talk centre stage, or at least so Commander Walker had led him to believe the previous day.

Stepping through the door into the Chief of Staff’s office, Dr Jarvis took up a position beside his cohort. “Good afternoon, Gentlemen,” he said by way of a greeting, his nasily tone sounding as civil as it ever got.

Dr J. Jarvis M.D
