“Lt Darren? I’m Xavier Khauv, are you alright and can you tell me where the intruder went?”

Lt j.g. Khauv

Now that she had had a few moments to process the situation, Ana’s large black eyes were stricken with fear as she dropped the now filled lollipop container on her desk with a dramatic thud. Thankfully, the design of the container had prevented the lollipops from scattering again, but her features turned ashen as it looked like she soon might follow the lollipops down. Trembling, she pointed in the appropriate direction and then sank down into her desk chair, thankfully right behind her, as her knees went to jelly. She hadn’t realized how close she had come to a much less pleasant ending, if the ending could really be called pleasant. She placed her elbows on her desk and held her head in her hands, her medium length hair falling over them as she shook with the after effects of adrenaline.

“Ahh, Lieutenant?” Xavier asked as he looked out the door and down the corridor where she had pointed. He waved the tricorder around for a moment trying to locate the other person, they should be well within range of the tricorder still.

But the tricorder showed no other lifesigns within the proximity of where the person ought to have been.

Ana waited patiently while Xavier did his security-y things, trying desperately to bring her panicked breathing under control and failing miserably at it.

Looking back at the woman, he walked to where she was seated and placed the phaser in it’s holster, placing a hand on her shoulder. “Are you going to be alright Lieutenant? Do you need any help?”

Lt j.g. Xavier Khauv

Ana jumped a foot when Khauv’s hand came to rest on her shoulder. Wide black eyes stared at his hand and then drifted up to Khauv, slowly filling with tears as she tried to process the random intruder. She tried several times to answer him before the words finally came out in a jumble, “he thought I was someone else and he offered me a… massage…” By the tone of her voice, you would have thought he had offered something far more hands on. Folding her arms in front of her on her desk, she sank her head down on top of them and sniffled pitifully.

Taking his hand off of her shoulder, Xavier looked at the woman skeptically for a moment and then rechecked his tricorder readings. There was nothing. “Who offered you a..massage?” He asked her. “My tricorder is showing nobody in the area Lieutenant, can you describe him for me?”

Lt j.g. Khauv, Security

Ana’s head popped up from its resting place on her folded arms and her eyes darkened with twinges of anger. “I told you, there was an intruder,” she spat at the security officer, her adrenaline fueling her slightly misdirected rage. She provided the best description she could of the being that had invaded her office. As she went through what happened, the anger slowly dissipated out of her words as exhaustion creeped in from the experience.

=^= All hands, this is the Captain. Due to an unforeseen course correction we have found ourselves in a spacial anomaly that we are seeking to rectify. We also seem to have somehow picked up some extra passengers. If you encounter anyone you do not know please notify the bridge immediately. All Duty Personnel report to your stations, civilians report to sickbay. Section and Department heads take stock of your staff and report to the bridge.=^=

Before Ana’s tirade about the situation could continue, the all hands broadcast from Taylor came over the communications system. Glaring again at Khauv, she hissed, “SEE!” at him, as if it proved her point about the intruder that had so rapidly disappeared. Glancing down at her container of lollipops, she saw one still out of place on the table beside it and snatched it up, throwing it at Khauv before tapping on her comm badge to respond:

=/\= This is Doctor Darren. My office was infiltrated by an unknown male. He has since disappeared. =/\=

Khauv watched the sweet fly through the air, hit him in the chest and then land on the floor, where he looked at it a moment and then back up at her. “You know those things are bad for you, right?” He still wasn’t convinced there had been anyone, the tricorder showed nothing in the direction she had indicated so, he started to scan the room she was in. “He just appeared in here? No warning, no sound?”

Lt j.g. Khauv, Security
