“When I know, you’ll know, Captain,” Brad replied, before ducking out the door and heading back to Sickbay.

Jonathan couldn’t help but feel a dull roll of his eyes coming at all of this. Sentient or not this wasn’t just something you like put your crew and ship at risk. Why the hell would we treat a threat to us any different if someone was possibly sentient. Klingon raiders are sentient but you can bet your ass we would kill them and defend the ship if they tried to attack us Jonathan thought as he got up from the table. He had his task and he was going to do it but he didn’t have to like the concept of keeping them at risk.

Willow looked around at the rest of the people present. “We have to bare in mind that as of yet we have no motive or indication that these people are responsible for any crimes. They have ended up here and seem to have no concept of where here really is or how they got here. It may be entirely a coincidence. We should not rule out that one of our own crew is responsible for the murder of Ensign Hart. Until we have the autopsy results and more information everyone should be on guard and careful. Humour aside, if this bubble is making a soap opera none of us are safe and that is a fact.”

Mark had been silent for a moment. “Captain. We have impulse power. Perhaps moving through the subspace pocket is something to consider. We might find the edge, and it might destabilise our onboard soap.”

Drake nodded. They might be unique to a circumstance from when we got dropped in.”

-Lt(j.g.) Mark Pierce, CE/Dr Drake Marshall, Chief of Surgery

Willow nodded at Mark. “Good idea, do it.” She said calmly and turned to Drake. “I wonder if you are correct Doctor Marshall…perhaps we should work to a certain what they think is going on and go from there.”

“Captain, I think you hit the nail on the head. Find out what their stories are. What’s happening.” She was as angry as anyone that they had lost a member of the crew, but rounding up everyone into cells with no basis to go on would be a crime in and of itself. “We lost a ship mate today, a colleague, a friend. We will have time to grieve for him. For now, we have to set that aside and attend to our duties.” Amari hadn’t allowed herself the time to process the load of someone under her command, she couldn’t allow herself that luxury. The ship was at risk. If that wasn’t the priority, then the young man in the lounge, might not be the only soul lost.

“Captain, we could try searching the database, cross-referencing the characters that are here and seeing what comes up. Maybe this story line has already been written. It would be helpful to have forewarning of coming events.”----

-Lt. Cmdr. Brooks, XO
