M’Nalie ran through the ship after leaving the party, The crew were now aware that she did so from time to time and there was less surprise or jumping to safety than the last time. She queried the computer about available holodecks and since there was one she altered trajectory for it. She called for the arch as soon as she was in sight of the door and summoned up the Security HtH programe Chief Engineer Pierce had provided her with. BY the time she passed into the holodeck the program was in place.

A
The burly drill master eyed the trainees before him.
“More often then not you will find yourself engaged in hand to hand combat at a time when your not exect…”, he was cut off by the arrival of M’Nalie. She crossed the distance between her and the group before anyone really registered that a huge tiger striped cait was bearing down on them She prioritized the instructor. He turned towards her as his trainees went bug eyed and ate a open handed slap to his chest that threw him 20 feet . He did not move to get up. Two trainees were out of the fight before anyone tried to defend themselves. In less than a minute they were all down. M’Nalie was disapointed as by the time she started to feel the surge of power that came from a good fight it was over. But she realised that was the lowest setting the sim had. So the result was to be expected. Two hours later she had worked her way through the simulations hard setting. She was starting to breath hard and had almost forgotten what had upset her. She sat for a minute besides the pile of fallen foes. She had changed the settings so that combatants were no longer removed when a new combat began to better simulate the reality thay obstacles were a hazard in any real fight. Bodies, tables chairs allcould cost you footing and expose you to a attack.

M’Nalie was the daughter of her clans Matriarch . She had been expected to inherit that title. She had needed to be the best of her clan. Starfleet trained their security well. But none had managed to keep up with her. It was a flaw in the way they were trained. Security didn’t want to hurt anyone. It caused hesitation, It caused punches to be pulled. M’Nalie thought on the fact she didn’t know how to pull a punch. Maybe, she thought, that woman was right after all. M’Nalie was too violent to be in Star Fleet.
Maybe she needed to do something else with her life.

Her thought brought on a renewal of the fighting as she reset all the fallen fighters back into active mode. It was hopeless, There were to many at once. But she felt the need for a heroic last stand worthy of a epic.

Ensign M’Nalie Eshenti. Engineer.

Mark found himself watching his Engineer take on a squad’s worth of enemies. =Pause program.= “If you ever leave Starfleet, you have a future with the Marines. The Lt I used to serve under calls me about returning about once a month. I could make certain arrangements. Sgt M’Nalie. Let me be clear though, it would be a loss to Starfleet and to this ship. You’re a valued member of this crew Ensign. Lt Darren waived the restrictions on your service. You’re on the duty roster full time.”
