Zoi watched Erika’s body language with a keen eye. That was something worth noting. Was she acting this way out of sadness or was she about to make sure the mostly part became completely? Her hand strayed a little closer to her phaser.

Dr Jarvis scowled. Even though Walker had just complimented him, this was no time for chit chat; they had a patient to save. He picked up the laser scalpel and with unnerving precision, cut a perfect incision in Ensign Heart’s chest. “Retractor,” he said firmly, taking it on trust that Walker would comply.

Dr J. Jarvis M.D.

Brad did so reflexively, idly musing about how long it had been since he’d done a nurse’s function. He too was keeping an eye on the interloper, and had a second laser scalpel within easy reach. It wasn’t a phaser, but he was a doctor.

She couldn’t watch, but for a moment Erika couldn’t peel her eyes off of the form of the one she knew as Amor Losa. Spinning on her toes, she moved to the door, feeling the sight that as a doctor should have been another day in her field, but it was too personal, too much to witness.

Brad frowned a little at this. What exactly had she been expecting to see, and why was she shying away now?

Zoi moved quickly to prevent her from leaving. This was where she had requested to be. Leaving now only made her look suspicious. “I am afraid ma’am that you will have to remain here for the time being. You can turn away if you wish, but you cannot leave until the Captain gives me different orders regarding where you can go.”

Haven, COS
The tense atmosphere was punctured by the sound of Gordon vomiting in a nearby corner, the distinctive wet splat of his last meal hitting the deck filled the air. He coughed and dry heaved for a moment before reasserting control of himself, after a deep breath he turned round. Then promptly vomited on himself again and doubled over, after another minute he was somewhat back under control. He was however now keeping his back to the ongoing surgery in the room and starting to reassess his life choices.

Gordon spotted the COS stepping towards the woman…apparition....thing…and speaking, he made his way over to help discreetly wiping some bit of what looked like sweet corn off his tunic.

He stood quietly to the side, keeping himself out of Havens line of fire but not too overtly.

OOC: apologies for the long wait, got dragged off somewhere horrid
