M’Nalie saw the dubious look in the crewmans eyes, since it was the usual Starfleet reaction to being told that using a effective weapon was better than using a toy.
“You must be very new crewman. Nobody who has served any time on a ship treats Ensigns like officers. Officers in training perhaps. In any case . Dismissed. Perhaps a demonstration of what I was talking about would be more convincing to you. I realise Star Fleet does not really enjoy hurting people, and thats noble and honorable in a way. It’s also foolish to not take every advantage in battle. People will be trying to kill you in battle. But you will need choose for yourself.”, and she turned and headed to the turbolift.

“Ma’am....” he said to no one in particular, he watched her wander off…it stuck in his head that she acted more like a barely contained for of nature than an officer. With a smirk he turned around and started heading Aft, he picked up the pace as he ran towards the the most stern ward Jeffries tube. With a grunt he opened the hatch, swinging himself inside and crawling towards the ladder.

After a few minutes of climbing and crawling he was stepping out onto Deck 4, it’s quiet corridors echoed as he slammed the hatch shut. During this time of the day it was rarely used as the conference rooms weren’t being used and while the ship was moving its shuttle bay was not used.

Gordon quickly began a loping jog down the corridors, pushing his way along the port side of the ship towards the Bow…
