Once she was done with the mass of questions, interrogation and everything else that would have put the Spanish Inquisition to shame, Willow had taken time to settle into her temporary quarters on board the station and then organise a get to get her for her crew. She was sure there would be some shuffling and needed a chance to thank those who had been instrumental in getting them home.

With things prepared she sent a message to all Ogawa crew personnel. =^= Attention all Ogawa crew you are formally invited to attend a ceremony to celebrate the achievements of our staff and company. This will take place in holosuite six at 1900 hours tomorrow evening. Dress uniform is required.=^=

Som come 18:45 Willow stood in a very nice recreation of a hall somewhere in Betazed, the room was decorated in star adds Federation colours and the sun was setting through the large windows overlooking a vast grounds with a fountain lighting up should anyone wish to venture ‘outside’.

She straightened some boxes and other things on the tableclothed table by the podium and waited for people to arrive.

Mark was treating this as his farewell to the ship. He entered in a crisp dress uniform with his decorations on it, those that were recognised in Starfleet service. He found himself the first to arrive. Walking up to the Captain, he said “Sir. I’m looking forward to the ceremony.”

Never one to be late, Zoi Haven arrived exactly when she was supposed to. She wore her dress uniform. White looked good with her blue eyes and blond hair. Taming her curls was a bit of work, but she had done pretty well to get them into a nice updo. There were more pins in her hair than she could count. This was her first official function as Ogawa’s new Chief of Security. There actually was a lot of crew shift during this layover as the Ogawa got refitted. Zoi had been studying the files of the new comers in addition to trying to get her department situated the way she liked. Rico had been a bit more chaotic than she liked. However, her department was filled with capable people and she was interested to see how they worked out for her.

Gordon stepped into the room and immediately felt uncomfortable with the amount of rank in the room, he discreetly moved to a “window” to pretend he was enjoying the scenery while he instead tried to blend in with the background. His dress uniform was parade ground perfect, as he had only worn in a week or so ago at his passing out ceremony. It still felt a bit tight around his neck, causing him to unconsciously rub the collar…

Brad stole into the holosuite shortly after, pausing just inside the door to take in the scenery. It had been years since his last visit to Betazed, but the planet’s beauty still came through in the holoprogram.

Standing clear of the entrance, he looked around for the refreshments table.

Achilleas entered the holodeck and looked around for anyone he knew. Barring that there was always the drink.

Mariah resisted the urge to smooth down her uniform as she entered the holodeck. She liked the sight of everyone else in their dress uniforms, but she couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable in hers, finding it less feminine and a little too formfitting for her taste. Sporting her own updo, she saw she wasn’t the only one who decided to style her hair similarly. Offering a smile to those whose eyes cut hers as she moved, she noted she was one of the first people to arrive. “Hello everyone,” Grayson greeted to those in earshot

Oscar hated gatherings. He hated gatherings with a lot of pomp and circumstance. He hated gatherings with pomp and circumstance where he had to interact with fellow crew even more. Most of all, he hated gatherings with pomp and circumstance where he had to interact with fellow crew whom he hadn’t even met yet. There was something off-putting about the fact that, twice in as many weeks, necessity would force him to wear a dress uniform. The facts that he had arrived at Starbase 157 only to be greeted with orders from a CO on a ship where he hadn’t even reported yet, that that ship was currently in drydock, and that he was going to be meeting dozens of people who would all be asking the same stupid and obvious question didn’t serve to enhance his mood. Orders, however, were orders, and so he prepared himself to go into the fray.

When he stepped into the holosuite, he recognized the place instantly. It was where he’d been forced to wear a different dress uniform and accept a promotion from Crewman to Petty Officer (technically 3rd class at the time, but the rank had been leveled just after Oscar had been forcibly promoted to 1st class). He hated Betazed then - the mind reading natives found him noxious in ways that few non-telepaths could understand - and even a simulated version brought back bad memories. He looked around the room and realized that refreshments would probably be offered only after people received their accolades.
