“Oh of course, I want to one day Captain my own ship, if not that I plan on making this a career anyways” Reaching down to pet Hades, Geth took a few moments to think. “I know it started as a way to get what I needed but at the same time I am really enjoying being in Starfleet if that makes sense”

Ana didn’t confirm whether or not that made sense, simply adding a note to her PaDD. “Are there any other details you wish to share? What do you occupy your time with when you are not on duty?”

“Usually training Hades.. I do enjoy reading and studying different ships and how they work… And I think that is it” Geth rubbed the back of his neck realizing he didn’t do much for fun now that he was away from his siblings. “I am not sure there is much else to share…”

Ana’s eyes went to the form of the canine again, concern flashing through them. “He… isn’t trained?” Her tone started off demanding but she made an obvious effort to soften it as she hurriedly rephrased the question. “Does he require much further training?”

“Oh jeeze no he is trained, I mean like.. Most of the training is just reaffirming what he already knows. Introducing him to new scenario’s and smells and people and places. I am always training, even if it looks like I am just sitting around a table having coffee.” Rubbing the back of neck Geth frowned a bit. “I didn’t mean it like he was an untrained dog. Just reaffirming good behavior”

“Oh…” Ana responded, her voice trailing off in a non-committal fashion. She contemplated the information for a brief moment. “I understand.” Without much of a breath between topic shifts, she continued, “I recommend that you select a hobby that does not have to do with your Starfleet career. Studies show that this influences career achievement as well as personal satisfaction. Do you require a recommendation?”

Geth nodded a bit. “Probably, I am not sure what hobbies or what I would like in general.. ” Trailing off he frowned a bit more hearing himself say that, coming to the realization that he really didn’t do much as a child. “I think something with plants would be cool?” He offered up a possible hobby.

“Well, then, I expect you to have investigated something with plants within the next month. I imagine the science staff, although limited on a ship of this class, could be of help in that investigation,” Ana responded. “Is there anything else you would like to share before I conclude the evaluation”

“I think I am good..” Geth offered a smile and took one of the lollipops out of the jar, aiming for a purple one. “I am glad this went smooth” He mumbled to himself and reach down to pet Hades.

Ana watched as Gethmire took a lollipop out of the jar. Typically, she invited people to do that when they entered, but apparently he had assumed that it was a reward for completing the appointment. She had been about to respond to his mumbled question, but realized that it was not meant for her ears as she nodded to dismiss him from the room. “Have a good day, Lieutenant.”
