After sending her message Ensign Charlie waited excitedly, bouncing on the balls of her feet. She loved her job and this part of it was really her favorite. She waited for those crew members to arrive to begin directing them onto the new ship.Ensign Charlie
HRApparently the first to arrive, Achilleas found his way to the designated entry point. “Why hello.” He said with an enthusiastic grin.

Ensign Charlie’s face broke into a wide smile in return.”Hi!” she declared happily and bounced over, PaDD in hand. She glanced down at it then pressed some buttons on another similar device which glowed blue. She held this to him.
“If you don’t mind placing your hand in the scanner.” she said
Once he had complied the device scanned his hand “Welcome Lieutenant Achilleas Petrakoas, designation Chief Science Officer. Pack number 156.” a male computer voice responded. “System now recognises staff entry. Voice print and bio signs downloaded from file. Welcome to the Uss Ogawa Lieutenant, my name is GALEN please swap out your current comm badge for full interface experience.”
Charlie beamed and taking a pack from the table offered the scientist it. A new comm badge on top of a PaDD and what looked like a new uniform.
“You are free to explore the ship now” she declared

Alexis, Frigga following beside her appeared next. Eager to get settled and back to work she wasted no time. Frigga, padding on silent paws was eager to see her new quarters and take a nap while Mom went back to work. She’d break in the new quarters. That was much more important. “Lt. Bonner” she announced to the woman.

Frigga, Helpful K9Ensign Charlie turned her attention to the newcomers her grin widening.”welcome! I’m ensign Charlie” she said entering some information on her PaDD. She then presented the hand scanner to Alexis.
“If you don’t mind placing your hand in the scanner.” she said
Once Alexis had complied the device scanned her hand in the same fashion it has the chief science officer’s “Welcome Lieutenant Alexis Bonner, designation, Doctor, Assistant Chief Medical officer. Pack number 230.” the same male computer voice responded as before. “System now recognises medical staff entry. Voice print and bio signs downloaded from file. Welcome to the Uss Ogawa Doctor, my name is GALEN please swap out your current comm badge for full interface experience.”
As another NE offered Alexis a sealed pack from the table containing a new comm badge on top of a PaDD and what looked like a new uniform Ensign Charlie had crouched down hugging her knees in front of Frigga.
Alexis took the pack and swapped out her combadge. She liked it and the new white uniform. Very clean and crisp.
“Oh aren’t you the cutest intelligiblebabylanguageusedwithDogs aren’t you!” she declared in delight.

Frigga tilted her head at the woman. “You know little human that I am intelligent and understand you? We protect you because you can’t understand us but we understand all. But you are very cute.” Frigga and Alexis waited.... “And where is my welcome pack?” Frigga gave a very heavy doggie sigh and with a paw knocked the PaDD from the woman’s grasp and put her paw on it. She’d done this before.

Still hugging her knees grinning Ensign Charlie mirrored the dogs head tilt. “You are such an intelligent and fluffy puppy dog aren’t you, and thank you! I really like this colour uniform it brings out my eyes don’t you think.” she said as she straightened the Padd for the paw scan.
The computer seemed to think about this scan a moment then the voice said sounding, if possible for a computer mildly bemused. “Welcome Frigga, designation, Icelandic sheepdog. Pack number 898. System now recognises staff pet entry bio signs will now be scanned please stand by”. The scanner produced a small extending scanner and shined a beam of light over the dog which Ensign Charlie moved slightly out of the way. When the scan was done the scanner vanished back into the device. “Bio signs registered. Canine care details downloaded from fleet database. Welcome to the Uss Ogawa, my name is GALEN please place pet commbadge on your collar for full interface experience.” the computer said then after a short pause added. “You, are a Good dog.”
Ensign Charlie beamed and straightening offered a random comb badge like Alexis’s to her with a paw print on it.
