Achilleas was excited and nervous as he waited outside of the arboretum on the new Ogawa. For what seemed an eternity to his love-smitten mind, he and Ria were going on another date. Since the Captain wanted the crew to explore and enjoy the new ship it seemed a great idea to sit amongst actual nature and not a holodeck like they’ve done before quite a few times. Ria had recommended a picnic and that sounded absolutely delightful to him. Though truth be told he would sit with her during a lecture regarding chemical engineering and be just as thrilled. He could nap during the lecture while leaning against her then.CSO Petrakos
It was only moments later that Ria turned the corner and came into view of of where Achilleas stood and waited for her. She was dressed in an ivory coloured late Victorian blouse, an azure blue, satin silk late Victorian walking skirt and a matching jacket. She knew she was totally over dressed, but not only had she found a liking for this kind of attire while she was at the Academy, but she also thought that Achilleas had really liked it when she had worn something similar for their first date. So here she was. Over her arm dangled a basket full of some of their favourite foods and a bottle of sparkling rosé wine. As she spotted Achilleas, she couldn’t help but start running towards him. It had been way too long since they had been able to spend time together. Though in reality it had only been a few days. But when you missed someone, time could feel much longer than it actually was.

Achilleas’ face blossomed into a broad smile as Ria rounded the corner and started running towards him. He stepped towards her and pulled her into a hug, while minding the basket on her arm, then leaned down to greet her lips with a kiss. After pulling away a bit but keeping at arms length, he took in the dress she was wearing and grinned. “Your beauty always astounds me but in this moment you take my breath away. You look magnificent in this dress my love.” Ria was definitely overdressed compared to his garb; where he was wearing sandals, thin fabric black pants, and a purple silk shirt with a turned down collar.

“Thank you, darling,” Ria whispered gently as their lips parted; a soft and loving smile playing across her often so tense and anxious features. “You look very handsome yourself.” Placing one hand on his chest, right over his heart, she looked Achilleas straight in the eyes and added, “I missed you so much.” For a few moments she just stood like that, looking at him and almost losing herself in his eyes. But eventually she tore her gaze away from his and nodded towards the arboretum. “Shall we?” she asked softly.
