Alexis nodded, she had assumed the programs would be limited in physical range, but that was fine. “Yes please add the information to my PaDD.” Then a thought occured to her, “GALEN aren’t the entrances supposed to run a decontamination protocol for everyone who enters? It didn’t activate when I entered. Is there a malfunction or has that system not been activated yet?”
=^= Aeseptic entry is awaiting activation. The process takes three to five seconds on entrance to complete=^=
“How do I activate the Aeseptic entry, GALEN? Or is awaiting engineering to do it. If so please send the request to engineering if it has not already.”

there was a short pause then the typical figure of the EMH programme appeared dressed in the white medical uniform variant.
“Please state the nature of the medical emergency.” He said looking around and seemingly confused.
GALEN
“Computer Freeze EMH program.” Alexis walked around the image of the EMH and shook her head, “Let’s run through some of the other potential images. This one is far too well known, and it’s known for a very horrible bedside manner and too condescending. It puts both patients and medical staff on edge. Let’s make him appear to be more trustworthy.”
Alexis was very drawn to the idea of a younger doctor, Douglas Howser, a child prodigy like herself. Brilliant and young. There was another, a Cpt. Hawkeye Pierce. Humorous, talented, and brilliant as well. A medical doctor during one of the 20th century wars of Earth. In the end she had GALEN combine the two personalities, and age the image of Dr. Howser to add the illusion of experience. No need to panic the patients with an image of a teenager. She nodded, “Computer resume program of EMH.”
Lt. Bonner, AMOThe EMH stood frozen in it’s new form for a few seconds then moved. “Please state the nature of…” he said somewhat bemusedly then smiled slightly at Alexis. “Hello, how can I help you?”
GALEN
Alexis looked up from where she was working, “Hello....Doctor GALEN. No medical emergency right now. I just want to make sure your program is working right.” Alexis liked the modifications to the appearance and the almost immediate change in the personality. “But if you feel like helping, you can help me put everything in it’s correct place instead of how the supply sergeant thought it should go.” Alexis didn’t expect the EMH to actually do that, the program was programmed to take over all aspects of sickbay, but the staff should be doing this, but they had not arrived or been assigned yet. “So tell me GALEN what do you do for fun?” Ha that was funny to Alexis. Her social skills were lacking, out of choice, and GALEN’s social activities were limited by the lack of physical presence. A perfect companion.

The EMH smiled. “While GALEN is responsible for some of my programming once activated I operate on a different sub matrix than the main computer system, so simply Doctor will do. One of the ships development team called me MAX. You may do so or name me something else.” he moved to assist Alexis. “ I am happy to assist you considering there is no emergency. I can regulate the force fields that hold my matrix in place,this allows me tactile interaction.” he picked up some supplies and looked around for where to put them. “I read medical journals and appraise the work of recent medical advancements for fun.” he said. “What do you do for fun Doctor?”
