Gerald strode up to one of the new sick bays, because in truth there were many and he didn’t know exactly which one was for check in and which was for… well other medical things really. He approached with PaDD in arm and waited patiently, taking the opportunity to recalibrate the vocal processor which made a rather interesting scene. Standing in Sickbay now was a cybernetic individual with a gaping hole in his throat while he held the piece in his hands and fiddled with it using some rather specialized tools.

Alexis came around the corner and spotted Gerald. “Gerald, is everything alright?” He wasn’t due for another immune supressent for 4 more days.

Gerald smiled and said, “Hey Doc, I’m actually doing pretty well all things considered. I didn’t know if I needed a new check in for our new ship or if the one from the station counted. Figured it wouldn’t hurt either way eh?”

Alexis nodded, “That’s good to hear. And your previous check-in counts since you had it performed by the Ogawa crew. We can certainly do another if you want, but…” She made a follow me gesture and stepped out of the medbay and to the medical labs. She picked up a small spherical object with, for lack of a better word, wiring coming from one side. “Your occular replacement if you decide you want it. It arrived with the ship.”

To say Gerald’s eyes lit up would convey that his eyes were still biological in nature and have that natural twinkle about them. Strictly speaking they did indeed light up but it wasn’t in reaction to anything specific, just the adjustment to the light levels in the room. He nodded and said, “Well if we don’t need to than I’m fine with it doctor” before leaning in closer to take a good look at the object she was holding. “Doctor if you’ve got two of them I’d say lets get it done right now and replace both units!” He said with uncharacteristic enthusiasm.
