Brad frowned slightly. ‘Engineers,’ he thought to himself. “Alright, we’ll do this via audio then. Can you give me a tour of this place?” he said, gesturing with his arms to encompass the entire expansive Primary Medical. “Starting with this ward, and ending with my office.”Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff=^= Yes. I would be happy to do that Doctor Walker. Please follow the green light.=^= some lighting strips in the flooring lit up a line to follow. Once Brad complied the line led him in a sort of walking tour of the deck. GALEN then began launching into a detailed explanation of each area, what it contained, it’s uses, who had designed it, everything right down to the colour of the sheets chosen. Along the way the line out turn into a red circle as if asking him to stop a moment to admire the space before the green line was back to follow to the next space.
Eventually they would wind up at the office as requested. =^= I have downloaded the tour onto your PaDD on your desk Doctor Walker. You may activate it at any time and follow the lit pathway to your desired space.=^= somehow it seemed pleased with itself. If computers could that was
GALEN
“Thank you, GALEN,” Brad said, entering his new office for the first time. Even that was bigger than his space on the McCoy-Owie (McCowie? McOwie?), at a quick estimate probably a good 40% bigger. Most of the extra space came before reaching his desk, which was close to the far wall. He did note the windows looking out into the ward, presumably to avoid someone having to actually be sent to fetch him in the event of shenanigans, as he could see them for himself.
There were also computer monitors on the wall across from the windows, presumably to allow him to review case files in a bigger format than a PaDD would allow. Well, his aging eyes would definitely appreciate that.
He snorted when he saw the Potted Plants placed on either side of his desk. If those weren’t dead within two weeks, either they were artificial or he’d eat gagh.

Chief of StaffAs if reacting to Brad’s thoughts the plant pot on the right suddenly appeared to have a digital smiley face. It was frowning. The plant pot beeped to itself, turned in a small circle so the back leaves were in a more direct path of the light and the face turned to a smile then vanished again.
“You look like you’re having fun.” Willow’s voice said from the doorway to the office. She grinned. “Like it?”

CO“It’s even better than my old office at Medical,” Brad said, turning to face Willow. “Hell, I could hold an entire differential in here with a team of claustrophobics and not have any of them freak out.”

Chief of StaffWillow laughed. “It’s pretty cool I have to admit.” She said entering and walking around a moment. “Have you seen your briefing room yet?” She asked.

CO“I think it was on the tour, yeah,” Brad replied. “That’s not to say I remember it, I mean, it’s a briefing room. I was probably still processing everything in one of the other wards while I walked through on autopilot.”

Willow laughed, “well try not to get lost. If I have to send someone looking for you I’ll never let you live it down you know.” She surveyed the office a moment and said off handedly. “While I’m here do you think you’d be able to sign off my boarding exam…” she gave Brad a dazzling smile.
