Doctor Mariah Grayson smiled at two passing crewman in engineering gold as they passed her in the corridor on her daily walk. Selfishly, Grayson made time for a daily walk about just to give her time and space away from her office. Such a change of scenery gave her an opportunity to clear her head and even gain clarity when thinking about the needs of the crew or a particular session she had just conducted.
Of course, such sojourns could also be beneficial professionally, as a lot could be deduced about the state of an entire crew just by making her way around while trying to be present but not overly intrusive.
Unlike a lot of medical professionals who could count on being sought out fairly regularly if for nothing more than because they could provide relief for pain that could be physically ignored for very long, therapists like herself needed to be seen to be perceived as accessible and not just someone to see as punishment or as an inevitability.
