Lieutenant Kyle Anders always found patrol duty to be one of the easier jobs in his field; making sure no one was trying to kill each anyone else, that sort of thing. The young man did have to admit to himself however, that patrolling the seemingly endless decks of a ship designed to offer Medical aid to those in need did bring with it some more interesting encounters. With that in mind, Anders had looked forward to his patrols ever since he began working them in the first week after he came on board the Ogawa. With that in mind, after checking in at the Security Office, Anders checked himself in the reflective steel of the bulkhead and began working his way through the corridors of Deck 10.

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Down the corridor in the crew quarters a tan, white, and black Icelandic sheep dog came bounding out of a set of quarters, lopping down the corridor, tail wagging as she went. She was wearing a bright green collar and harness, but was without a person.”
Frigga

Kyle arched an eyebrow at the sight of the dog and couldn’t help but grin. “Well, well, well, what have we here? Hey there lass, who do you belong to then eh?” He edged over slowly, dropping to a knee and extending his arm with a friendly grin.

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Frigga slowed, looking form him down the corridor and back. What Anders couldn’t hear was the dog whistle leading her down the corridor. But Frigga loved people and so she stopped anyway. She sniffed the hand and then promptly gave him a friendly headbutt to his palm to encourage pets and attention. Her harness was more than just a harness but indicated her as a working dog. Her name Frigga was embroidered on both sides of the vest, and in a pocket was her certification card listing her as a therapy and assistance dog. Attached to her collar was a small version of a combadge.
Frigga

“Frigga,” Kyle read aloud, “I think we need to get you back to where you came from lass.” Anders fussed over the sheepdog for a few seconds before rising and starting t a brisk jog down the corridor, giving soft taps on his thigh to encourage Frigga to follow suit.

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Frigga enjoyed the attention, but once Anders stood up and started walking she continued on in the direction she was headed. She followed the, unheard except for her, whistles through deck 10A to 10B and then to the port turbolift and sat and waited. When wearing her vest she was trained to follow where ever the whistles led her.
Frigga

Realising the whistles were coming from the opposite direction, Kyle followed the dog until he reached the port turbolift and grinned, “Well, I could use a patrol partner.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Frigga looked up at the voice and wagged her tail, tongue lolling. The turbolift doors opened and in response to another whistle she stood up and entered the lift and sat just to the right side of the door. The lift stopped at deck 11 to pick up a couple more officers, one paused long enough to pat her head. Then on deck 12, the doors opened and she took off down the corridor.
Frigga

Kyle thought for a second about going back up through Deck 11 to patrol those sections, but decided it would be better to kill two birds with one stone and continue patrolling Deck 12. Following behind Frigga, Anders made sure to keep an eye out for anything that looked remotely suspicious.

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Frigga looked behind her seeing Anders still following. Her tongue lolled in a doggie smile as she continued down the corridor. She was just about to her destination…

Perhaps not the suspicious thing he was looking for as a young woman rounded the corner and immediately began to run towards them her arms wide open “Frigga!” Her already shortened height was made shorter when she knelt to the floor and began to stroke the canine unaware of the person following behind one of her true friends aboard the Owwie.

  • Medical Student Octavia Raain

Frigga came to a stop and sat down waiting for the massive amount of attention she was about to get. Frigga covered Octavia in kisses, her tail wagging wildly. She loved Octavia and had missed the young medical student while she and Alexis had been gone. The pup was super excited to see her. She pawed at Octavia’s knee unashamedly begging for more attention.
Frigga

Kyle laughed openly, “Ahh,” he said, “So you’re the one Frigga was leading me to, I thought she was leading me to some high stakes Security threat.” Anders winked good naturedly and extended a hand, “Lieutenant Kyle Anders, at your service.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Frigga cocked her head to the side and looked at Anders as he said her name. But Octavia was a happy surprise not her destination.

Octavia looked up, aware of Frigga begging for more attention the young recently or not so recently (now) turned Trill found herself tucking her hair behind her ear which had fallen in front of her face when she fell to the floor to play with the pup in front of her. “Oh ur…” She gave Frigga another moment of attention which included a belly and head scratch before standing. “Octavia Rain, Med Student or local pain in the butt, take your pick.” The Lieutenant in front of her was young, (or so he appeared) and more her age than she expected any one of his ranks. She found herself lost in him until her own heated cheeks returned her to normality, “Security?” She asked trying to think of anything to talk about.

Frigga looked from one to the other, eyes laughing. The sound of GALEN’s dog whistle returned since she hadn’t arrived yet. Normally she would nose hands as a good bye but the whistles were becoming insistent and so she took off down the corridor and slipped through the door to the physical therapy office. She was met by an eager therapist who fitted her with a special physical support harness and she went to work helping an officer who had just gotten a new prothstetic leg.
Frigga

“For me sins, aye,” Kyle replied in what was probably the most Northern English way of saying anything, “You must be the med student I’ve been hearing about.” This was a slight white lie; sure Kyle had glanced past her name when checking out the new crew he’d be a part of on a PADD, but that was it. Kyle however, got the feeling that Raain was nervous around new people, so wanted to make her feel at ease.

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

Octavia frowned, he’d heard about her? “Oh really?” She couldn’t help but look at her feet, which were now Frigga free since she bolted down the corridor. “Nothing bad I hope, I mean.. Im surprised you’ve actually heard about me I’m still struggling to feel normal again and usually keep myself to myself between lessons and work” She shrugged. “So now that your company has left I guess it would be rude for me to bolt too.”

  • Octavia Raain, Med Student

Kyle smiled kindly, “I’m only on patrol Miss Raain, if you’re busy I’m more than happy to leave you to it.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

She shook her head, “Oh I’m not busy I have a few open slots between lessons” The young Trill paused, “I guess its the perks of living where your working and studying” Octavia shrugged, “I don’t mind walking with you if you don’t mind the company?” She figured he wouldn’t want a young med student disturbing what she assumed would be a peaceful walk through the ship, its not like they were aboard a warship.

  • Octavia Raain, Med Student.

Kyle chuckled, “Well, seen as my other deputy seems to have… other commitments to be getting on with, I could use a partner in crime, after you Miss Raain.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Security Officer-

The Trill gleamed a smile and spun around on her heels stepping of slowly to allow him to walk next to her, “I cant imagine being a security officer aboard a Medical ship all to busy? I mean unless there’s some kind of substance misuse or the odd drunken crew member?” She asked with a little bit of a spring to her step, as much as she enjoyed her jobs and her lessons she found that the medical profession at times was ALOT of work and required ALOT of attention to minor details sometimes her mind just wanted to wonder.
