This wasn’t a session and if Willow didn’t want to talk more about Doug, then who was she to push?

“Mostly right now it’s getting everyone situated on board and working out scheduling. Larger ship, more personnel and the department heads have a lot more to juggle.” She sipped on her drink and pondered for a moment. “I think the thing I’m keeping an eye on is how everyone gels together, whether there is trust and respect there. It takes time for a crew to come together but I think we should be on the lookout for opportunities to nudge it along if need be. Or if there are individuals who aren’t finding their place within the team.”

Willow nodded. “Do you know I met at least thirty random cree today who I didn’t recognise and who all assure me they are part of my command? I need to go through all of those profiles more carefully. I was sure I had memorised every ones face!” She chuckled. “We really have a lot more space don’t we.”

Myqian chuckled. “Well, form your perspective, I’m sure it’s a massive change, but I just came from a medium sized ship so it’s not so different for me. But, to have all this dedicated health sciences space is a dream come true. Honestly, when I decided to switch to command, I never imagined that I’d get to have my first XO gig on a medical ship. It’s really quite amazing, and I’m incredibly grateful,” she said, beaming.
