Some days after the incident in the Arboretum Willow found herself at the end of a duty shift unsure what to do with herself. To day things had been tense between her and Cai over the last few evenings. She paused, she didn’t really feel like going back to her quarters to either argue with him, get given the cold shoulder or worse…eating alone. Her office offered the same option of eating alone. Mind made up she headed instead for the lounge, intending to eat dinner there.
Tucked into a corner table, a plate of lasagna and salad before her and a large glass of synthaholic red wine Willow had to wonder if she was breaking the starfleet captains demeanour rules. She remember a biography of Picard saying that he regretted following the rule of never letting the crew see him entirely as human.
