OOC: Some degeneration in the ankle, probably because she never stayed still long enough for it to heal properly. Otherwise in good health. Not sure how Vulcan vs Human her physiology would be at 1/4 Vulcan - your guess is as good as mine?

IC: “The arm is fine.” She replied. After a moment she tilted her head slightly and asked, “You’ve been here right from launch, yes? What’s your impression of the Ogawa? I can’t imagine it’s anything like my experience so far.”

Alexis administered the inoculation and then read over the scans. “Your Lateral Malleolus is showing sings of degradation. A short session with the dermal regenerator and a calcium infusion should fix that.” Alexis nodded, “I was. I think she’s a magnificent example of medical engineering. The mobile hospital as well. Our systems are more update than Star Fleet Medical Command. We even have the capability to do long term care. Not on a large scale basis, but we can with our rehabilitation facilities. Between the mobile hospital, the triage deck, and two fully functioning full sized sickbay there isn’t any medical crisis we can’t handle. However, despite all the new and updated equipment it is our staff that is the true difference.”

“So not so different after all then,” Elanor said with a smile, “I’m very glad to hear that. It can be all too easy to become focused on what the technology is telling us when really, we should be hear what the client has to say first.” She paused, the excitement coming back into her expression and voice. “I can’t wait to get to work and get to know everyone, yourself included.”

“I have found that people can often become too dependent on what the technology does and forget that it is simply a tool to help us do what we are already trained to do. The technology does not take the place of the training and experience we have as medical professionals. Now would you like to go ahead with the treatment for your ankle, schedule for another time, or bypass it all together?”

“I look forward to working with you. Your office and duty station will be here in primary sickbay, but whenever you are ready, I am happy to show you secondary sickbay. Also one of our combined responsibilities is the maintaining, stocking, and staffing of the triage deck and mobile hospital.”

“Might be best to treat it while I am here, it’s likely you won’t otherwise catch me sitting still long enough.” She pulled herself fully up onto the biobed so she could stretch out her leg. “Ah staffing… gotta love managing nursing schedules. I assume there is the requisite list somewhere of who works with who and who refuses to work with who? They will realize quickly enough that I don’t put up with that nonsense. I schedule according to specialty and ability, not personality. We are all supposed to be professionals after all.”

Alexis pulled over the dermal regenerator and began setting it up, checking scans on her tricorder as she did so. “There is, and you should be able to access it by logging into your console. There are several such requests, but only two approved by Dr Walker. Hold still,” she pressed two more controls on the device and it lit up as it began to work, “The request was put through him and I am unaware of the specifics of the situation, but he approved them. (OOC There is a list some where about this from way back when I first joined Ogawa but I can’t go searching for it today. So we’ll assume NEs! hahaha).” She stepped away a moment and returned with a hypo of calcium, viatmin D, magnesium, and phosphorus. She set it down to administer after the dermal regenerator was finished.
