Since they were all going to the medical bay together, at least at first, Salin just smiled at Walker. “Of course, lead the way,” as she followed him out of the transporter room on Deck 3. She vaguely recalled that this ship had two of them, and one of them was on this side of the ship, though she couldn’t remember where exactly. That was probably for the best, because if she knew how close or far the place was it would give her mind time to get anxious and she was going to try her very hardest to not make all this more difficult.

She slipped the patient band on her delicate wrist and eyed it. “Are there times when I can or should take this band of? I don’t want to disrupt anything you might need from it.”

“Functionally, it works similar to our commbadges in that it lets the ship know where you are, with the added functionality of allowing us to remotely monitor your vital signs, and alert us if you’re having a medical emergency,” Brad said. “That said, if there’s ever a time you don’t want us to know where you are, or how you’re doing, you can take it off. It’s supposed to be a convenience on both of our ends of the care experience, but it is certainly not mandatory.”

“I see,” the ambassador said, turning her wrist. “Well, if nothing else, it serves as extra decoration of which I don’t mind,” she said, breaking into a beaming smile and all but floating forward in the slightly lighter gravity.

As the group began to file out Willow raised her eyebrows at Dira and gave the smallest inclines of her head as if to say thoughts?

She followed along with the procession.

They made their way to Deck 5 and soon came to the entrance the medical bay. Salin hated herself for it, but even as she wore a beatific smile her body froze, almost on its own accord. She forced herself to take a step and breathed out.

“I’m okay. Just… someone walk in first,” the Kelakgh said, breathing deeply as she had been taught.

One step, then another, then another and she finally crossed the threshold and took in the large space, her silver eyes noting that even though the people were the draw here, it came with the simple fact that few cultures could do medical environments too differently. There were basic conditions that needed to be met in order to provide excellent care. But they were sometimes too alike, and therein lay the problem.

She was in. Mero smiled as if everything was perfectly fine. “So… where to we begin?”
