Kane walked towards the restricted security area on Deck 10. He wasn’t in uniform, wearing instead jeans and red shoes with a black shirt ith what seemed to be a photograph of a human with a guitar giving an obscene one-fingered gesture to the person taking the picture. Under it read “American Rebel”. As he approached, a security officer posted outside the area started to stop him when Kane said “Yeah yeah yeah, ‘restricted area’ and all that. I need to speak to your Chief. Right now.” and he crossed his arms on his chest and leaned against the wall. The guard knew. Of course, who the wild-haied and heavily tattooed figure was. Everyone knew who the surly and often abrasive Chief Science officer was. “One moment, Commander.” they said with perfect professionalism. They tapped the comm badge and said =/\= Post One to Commander Haven. Lieutenant Commander Kane to see you, ma’am. =/\=Kane, CSO / R&D
Zoi looked up from her PaDD with a brow raised in surprise. Kane wanted to speak to her? That should be interesting. THey had had limited interaction thus far on the ship. She wondered what he wanted and touched her comm badge to engage communication. =/\= I will be there in a moment Lieutenant. =/\=
Putting down her PaDD, she left her office, locking per usual protocol and went to where the CSO was waiting. It was even more intriguing that he was in his off duty attire and so she left her curiosity show on her face, easily readable to even the least aware person. She herself was dressed in her uniform, as she was still on duty. One could tell she had been on for a long time however. Her blond hair was mussed with flyaways around her ears and the chignon she usually kept tidy. Her pants were creased from her hours of sitting at her desk.
“And how can I help our Chief of Science today Lieutenant Commander Kane?”

Kane looked at her and said “Well, I have a security issue that I think you should probably know about. I was hoping to have a word in private. This isn’t something that should be broadcast in public.” and he pushed off the wall and waited with his hands in his pockets.
Kane, CSO / R&D
One of her eyebrows shot up in surprise and she simply nodded to the man. She wondered why he had not come straight to her office, but then maybe he felt like he needed to be invited. Kane was a strange person by reputation. Zoi gestured for him to follow her. “Alright. Come to my office and lets have a chat. Í would be glad to know any information you have on security concerns.”
She tucked an errant hair behind her ear as the other hand waved to unlock and open her office door. She went immediately to the replicator and got herself a steaming mug of hot coffee. God she needed a refresher after such a long shift. “Replicator is right here if you want anything. Then feel free to have a seat.”
Zoi took her seat behind her desk, a massive computer screen behind her showing a deck by deck map of the ship. “So, what have you got for me Lieutenant Commander Kane?”
