It was a cardio day, Brad decided. He’d spent entirely too much time today sitting down in his office reviewing and signing off on charts for the various cases being tracked and treated by his staff, and something to get the blood flowing was just what the Doctor ordered, pun fully intended.At the same time, he didn’t really feel like running, nor did he particularly fancy a trip to Deck 12 to call up a running track holoprogram.
Thankfully, being Chief of Staff did have its perks; namely, he could tell with a glance that there were no rehab patients currently aboard, meaning the ship’s swim spas were both empty and in no danger of needing use anytime soon.
So, he stood from his desk and stretched, wincing as the way his joints popped, and set out for Deck 4, a much more reasonable two decks as opposed to the six it would take to reach a holosuite.
Bearing in mind the rumours swirling around his off-duty activities, he carefully checked his surroundings for gossipy NEs before entering the spa and locking the door to all but the Captain or XO, should he be urgently needed for something, and stripping down to enter the pool.
Setting the water to provide minimal resistance, he slid in and began his workout.

Chief of StaffAn hour later, his upper-body muscles metaphorically screaming at him, Brad turned over onto his back and let himself just float for a while. The upper-body workout the pool provided was good, but he did need to do something for his legs as well.
Sighing, he got up out of the pool and dried off with a towel before re-dressing.
It looked like he was heading for the gym.
