OOC: We have a bartender! And the name of the Lounge was one that Calé and I pitched (partly as a joke), but folks seemed to like, so we’re going with it. :D
IC:
The dinner rush after shift change has dwindled and Florence’s was busy but not overly so. Sam wiped down the bar top and surveyed the small groups and individuals gathered. It was such an interesting ship to be on and he was glad he had asked to serve here. Retired from Starfleet though he was, he liked to think he was still serving in his own special way. After all, everyone needed to decompress and spaces like this were where the community of a starship revealed itself.

A large gentleman with short cut blonde hair sat down and smiled. “Sam. How are you?” the XO asked. He came in somewhat regularly, and had a bottle behind the bar. “All the kids behaving this evening?” he asked jokingly.

“So far, Commander, so far,” Nazarian said, reaching down, pulling out a bottle that he didn’t even look at and poured a measure into a high ball. He slid it across to Sinclair. “Though I will say that so far, medical ship crews are both far better behaved than most except when they are far worse. You all need to let off steam a little more often. Just my recommendation, Sir.” Though he was empathic, his skills were pretty subtle and not so much over reading of emotions as reading the tenor of a person or space. However, if emotions were really strong, he’d feel them as clearly as others.

Sinclair nodded as he picked up the glass. “Oh, you will get no argument from me, Sam. I’ve been wracking my brain for an idea that would encourage that. The problem we have is that one can o ly spend so much time on a ship… holodecks or not. I’m working on a rotation to send people off rhe ship more, but it’s hard. We are always busy.”

Sinclair, XO
