“I am yours,” he told her softly and let his lips touch hers, lingering gently with just the hint of a contact before breaking away. “Never forget that, no matter what, I am always yours, just like you are always mine.” He turned and walked towards the door to their quarters, step by step feeling Ally against him, her legs around his waist and his hands on hers.

Ally was lost in the moment. She knew where they were they head but so focused on Rico that the ship could be going down in flames and she would never notice. Orion had changed them. Before he was just a boyfriend. Someone you met often for lunch and expected a date night at least one day a week. Now he was so much more. Every touch seemed more intimate. Every conversation no longer held the what if but our future will feeling. Before Orion Ally loved Rico. After Orion, Ally was in love with Rico. In some ways they had settled into that comfortable zone of a couple knowing it was only a matter of time before she took his name and had his children. This turning point had made things much more erotic for her. Any inhibition she had with him was erased. The gently sway of his cadence as he carried her across the room magnified the sensations course through her body. “God I love you,” she panted heavily breaking the kiss only to move to the area where his neck met his shoulder. Kissing and talking was impossible unless you allowed yourself to explore areas other than the lips. “I love the way you smell and talk and” Ally pushed back into Rico’s arms so that she could deep a deeper sensation of his hands on her body.

Feeling her chest against his, he felt the warmth of her curves and knew the places he could touch that would make her crumble under his interrogation. He could feel the expectation, the sensual connection between them that had always been so strong between them. “Do you really love me?” He grinned as he asked the question, and let his hands travel up her sides as she supported her weight with her legs. “I think you should show me just how much you love me,” he told her, “as soon as I get the key to these things and make sure you are properly restrained.”

“Enough to take you home for Christmas if you want to come,” Ally blurted out leaning her head back so that Rico didn’t miss a spot.

Stopping in mid-step, Rico’s head pulled back slightly and he looked at her with a smirk and raised eyebrow. “You know, when I said show me how much you love me I was thinking more of the short term, you know like, the next hour or so?” The smirk turned into a grin and he let his lips brush hers again, even playfully biting her lip and squeezing with his hands on her waist.

“Oh there is no short term with me, baby,” Ally laughed. “You are gonna get all this,” she motioned with a free hand at her body, “for the foreseable future.” Looking into Rico’s eyes, all the flirty fun vanished. There was a time for playful banter but when she looked into Rico’s eyes as he held her like this, only one thought was on Ally’s mind. While the comment was verbally a witty come back, the sentiment was far more profound. Ally had fallen in love with Rico Vanhall. If someone asked her the moment when she learned this, Ally’s reply would only have been to share his medical intake.

Ally felt that love, at first sight, was a corny notion people say when they were stupidly in love. To her, the truth is love starts the moment you can’t remember not thinking about someone else a hundred times a day. It wasn’t a moment she fell in love with Rico but a million small moments across the three years they had been together. There was the moment they ran breathless to the counseling office. There was the moment of their first date when she brought him a cake in the navy dress he could not keep his hands off of. It was playing twister and operation along with the babysitting of the Reez children where he dressed as a pirate just to get them to smile. The adventure on Orion erased any doubt that the man holding her was the man holding her heart forever.

Ally and Rico balanced each other. When she was upset, he was the calming factor in her life. When he was wronged, Ally’s loyalty shone like a beacon for everyone to see. There was no obstacle too big nor problem too large they could not solve together as long as they were together. Ally found the man she wanted for the rest of her life. “So shut up, keep doing what you’re doing, and take me to your bed,” she spoke in a soft tone as she traced small circles with her fingertips at the base of his neck.

Starting to walk towards the bedroom again, Rico moved his attention to her neck and shoulder in between words. It wasn’t really the time for conversation, but right now was the danger zone. If he ignored her bed talk she would likely accuse him of not being interested in going home with her, if he stopped what he was doing and talked too much, he would get accused of not being interested in her. It was very close to a no win situation with the moment slipping dangerously away. “It isn’t.. even.. a question love,” He told her as his lips travelled along her shoulder. “I want… you… … … to take me home.... for Christmas. But… will there… be room for us?.. I know it’s… a.... busy.... time of year.”

“I talked to my mom about it last week and she is sooo ex,” Ally paused as she briefly lost her train of thought. The more she thought about taking him home to meet her family, the hotter she was getting. “So excited,” Ally spoke in a moaning tone. “You can sleep down the hall and every morning we can sit on the balcony and have coffee waiting for the sun to come up.”

Yay Was the thought in Rico’s mind. I’d rather have coffee right now and talk about you sitting on my deck as the sun comes up “That’s fantastic,” Rico told her, the doors closing behind him as he walked into their bedroom. “You already talked to your mom?” Rico almost winced as he asked, considering what he was about to do to her daughter, talking about Ally’s mom was not top of the list of conversation items.

At night however I fully expect those security moves to kick in so that I am waking up with you as the sun comes up, she added silently to herself. A home visit discussion in the middle of their pre-nocturnal activities might not sound romantic however it was the first step in becoming Mrs. Rico Vanhall and having him every night for the rest of her life . “So can I tell her yes,” Ally snapped her head up so that she could look him in the eyes. “Will you come home and meet my family,” she posed the question again.

Lt. Ally Scott.

“Yes,” Rico said, confidently and slowly. “Going home with you and meeting your family for Christmas is a thing, love. This Christmas okay.” Without waiting for her to reply, his hands unhooked her legs from his waist and Rico dropped Ally on the bed in front of them, on her back but with their hands still linked together by the handcuffs.

Ally bounced on the bed pulling Rico slightly down by the wrist she had bound to her own wrist. “See,” she wiggled her hand some. “This is just a visual presentation of the foreseeable future,” Ally let out a laugh.

“You put the key for these somewhere safe, right?” Rico asked as he began to lift his shirt over his head, revealing not only his strongly muscled upper body, but also the three scars on his chest that he refused to have healed. “Or do we do this like the ancient Gladiators had to, tied together till the last one is standing?” A wicked look came into his eyes and he grinned, his hand fumbling at his belt while his now removed shirt dangled from the handcuffs holding them together.

“Key schmee. I say we do it gladiatorial style,” Ally edged the hem of her tank top up encountering the first roadblock of the evening. She could not get completely out of her shirt. “Ummm Rico,” Ally held up her arm so that the thin cord now held her tank top like a flag. “It won’t affect my pants,” Ally reconciled the situation with the positive. That was until she saw how hard it was to do things dragging around an extra arm. This was going to take teamwork to make the dream work. “Okay relax and stop fighting me. Stop trying to help you are making it worse,” Ally laughed as she chided him. Trying to remove her pants continued to be hindered by Rico’s helping because he was more worried about exploring than getting ready forth excursion. After several attempts and once banging their foreheads together, Ally took another approach. “Okay,” she flopped back on the bed “Pull,” she ordered hoping the slid right off. The problem was he needed both hands and one was still attached to her wrist.
