Sands though the Hourglass- Epilogue

With dedicated focus, the Ogawa’s engineering team were able to get life support restored fully and gravity back on deck 7. Replacing some of the relays in the communication system allowed the ship to get a distress call out.

A nearby ship, the Ambassador-class USS Adelphi responded that they were 9 lightyears away and would be there in three days. It woud be enough time for the crew to pack up their belongings as needed as it was clear that the Ogawa wasn’t going to be functional for quite some time.

While the ship had some of the more minor repairs taken care of, it was clear that it would need to be towed back to base for serious space frame repairs.

Commander Brooks was found in a turbolift that had been stuck between Deck 3 and 2. She had suffered a massive head injury during the trip back into normal space. The medical staff were able to save her life, but she was currently in a coma and it wasn’t certain if she would be coming out of it. She would be transferred to the Starbase once they got there for long term care.

Three days later, the Adelphi arrived and the crew began transferring over to the large ship for the trip back to base. Captain Taylor and Starfleet Command had several discussions, including that about the ship’s first officer, or current lack thereof one. Taylor was informed that they were working on it and someone would be able to join them at base as soon as possible.

Once the Adelphi reached Fleet Starbase, the crew would be given temporary accommodation until Command made decisions about what was to happen next for them all.

While it was hard to concretely know what had happened in the subspace bubble, what the Ogawa crew did know for sure is that while the ‘characters’ were manifestations were not corporeal, they seemed to be part of something that was sentient to some degree. Even the cat had disappeared, so maybe they would never know for sure, but NE Stokes swore he could hear a cat meowing on the Triage Deck now and again while they did repairs.

Weird.

OOC: Thank you all for you extreme patience with the ups and down of this sim. It was intended to be over ;late last year but due to all my migraines it just didn’t happen. Because of my health, I’m stepping back from GMing for the time being. Cale will fill everyone in shortly on a bunch of changes for the ship. I hope you all enjoyed at least part of this sim.

Please feel free to take this span of time as the crew transfers to the Adelphi and travels to Starbase 157 to do whatever side simming and character development makes sense for you.
