Upon arriving, Selal had learned about the ship’s current circumstances, and that he’d be staying on the Starbase for now. Still, at least he could spend some time getting familiar with some of his new crewmates. On his previous ships, he’d learned that was quite important, to know who you were going to be working with. But first thing was first, check-ins. His first stop would be the Starbase’s sickbay or infirmary or whatever it was, anyway.

Selal was Vulcan by looks, tall and lanky, with a sort of long face and a nose nearly as pointy as his Vulcan ears. His skin took the greenish hue that was characteristic of Vulcans, though by blood, he was only half so. His other half was Human, which wouldn’t be evident by looking at him. His upbringing had been Human in nature, on Earth, which meant unlike a half-Vulcan raised on Vulcan, he was more likely to slip up, to emote in some way. Though, he did his absolute best to never, ever do exactly that.

Heading into the sickbay, he stopped and waited, wordlessly, until someone was available to help him.

Pilar looked over “Lt how can I help you?” She asked walking over to Segal “I’m Commander O’Keefe, head nurse on the Ogawa.” She offered.

Head Nurse

“Junior Lieutenant Selal, reporting for an onboarding evaluation.” Selal said to her, and then he stuck his hand out. “And it’s nice to meet you, Commander. I’m joining the Ogawa as a doctor.”

Pilar smiled “Lt Jg Segal. Is there anything in your file that I need to know about before we get started?” She asked as she pulled up Selal’s file and began looking at it and going over it.

Head Nurse

A flick of irritation flashed across his face as Pilar made use of his last name a second time, but he quickly brushed it away. He preferred the use of his first name, as that was how Vulcans were usually addressed. He only had a surname because he was raised on Earth. But he did not bring it up to Pilar. Instead, he simply said, “No, everything relevant should be there.”

~ Selal, Doctor

Pilar nodded “Very well.” She said as she began the standard scans (OOC: Does she find anything odd?) She made a few notes on the PaDD in her hand, his vitals and the like while she waited for the detailed scans to come back to the tricorder.

Head Nurse

(OOC: As of now, he’s totally healthy. XD)

The scan would show nothing unusual, nor any health issues. Everything was normal for a Vulcan. Selal sat still, waiting.

~ Selal, Doctor

Pilar waited for the scans to return “Lt. Selal you are perfectly healthy.” She said as she saved the data to the PaDD to be uploaded later “Was there anything else that you needed today?” She asked stepping back.

Head Nurse

“I won’t be needing anything else. Thank you.” Selal said, nodding to Pilar. “And again, very nice to meet you.” With that, he stood from the biobed, preparing to leave. “Unless there is something else you need from me, I’ll be on my way.”

~ Selal, Doctor

Pilar shook her head “Just make sure you check in with the Chief of Staff and I’m sure we’ll be working together here in Sickbay at some point.” She said with a slight smile.

Head Nurse

Nodding one last time, he headed out of Sickbay and towards the Chief of Staff’s temporary office.
