OOC: This is right after the second holodeck thread (Bajor) :)

IC:
After she had taken a shower, Ria found that she was starting to feel a little sore. Normally she would have ignored that. After all, it wasn’t exactly surprising considering that she had slipped on and subsequently landed on rocks in a riverbed. However, she had promised Doctor Walker to return to sickbay if she hurt herself again; no matter how minor the injury might be. And her boarding evaluation had left her feeling worried that there might actually be something wrong with her. So she made her way over to the infirmary. Once there she shyly looked around for Doctor Walker. Of course she knew that she could see any other doctor as well, but he had already done her boarding evaluation and thus knew her a little. So if possible she hoped that he could be the one she’d talk to today as well.

The computer pinged when Ria’s commbadge crossed the threshold into Sickbay, and he was coming out of his office just as her gaze reached it.

“Ensign Iyun,” he said. “What brings you in today?”

“Doctor Walker,” Riani greeted him in return. “I … uhm,” she hesitated, her cheeks turning scarlet. “I was on the holodeck earlier, and … uhm … slipped while standing barefooted in a rocky river. It’s probably nothing, but I promised I’d come back if … when I hurt myself again…” Her voice trailed off and she looked rather sheepish at him for a moment before dropping her gaze.

Brad looked at her, bemused. “Alright. Where’d you land, and are you currently experiencing any pain?”

Her head still bowed and her shoulders slightly lifted, Riani answered, “Mostly on my backside … but I also instinctively tried to brace myself with my hands slightly behind and to the side of body.” While she spoke she wondered if her attempt at an explanation actually made much sense. “At first I felt fine, but after taking a shower I noticed that I’m starting to feel a little sore … mostly my backside, but my hands and arms are starting to feel slightly sore as well,” she continued meekly.

Brad nodded. “Alright, well, could be nothing, but we definitely want to make sure you didn’t sprain or break your wrists,” he said, pulling out a tricorder from his pocket and starting to scan her.

“Shouldn’t need a biobed for this, unless you really want to?”
