She shook her head. “No, I don’t think so. It’s definitely been a more tiring few days, but I’ve been still able to mediate and give my mind a break. That and distance from a certain person seems to do a person wonders… she mused silently.
“How are you handling being base-side, Doctor Marshall?” Dira asked curiously.
Commander Myqian, XO
“What’s the old earth phrase? Busy hands are happy hands. Surgeons are always in high demand.” He sighed. “I have to wonder, do humans avoid caring for themselves or just have such faith in their doctors that it’s not a concern?” He was clearly joking, but ever so slightly sincere.

She laughed lightly. “I don’t now if it’s a particularly Human trait, but there does seem to be a general ethos amongst those that live in space that the adventure is there for the taking and we might as well make the most of it. Some do this more… strenuously than others,” she said with a grin.

“Starfleet: where safety regulations are often taken as suggestions.”
Drake tapped at his PaDD. “I usually read out my report to the patient. ‘Cmdr Myqian is in adequate physical health to serve on the USS Ogawa, especially in a command capacity. While her history demonstrates some physical traumas, they have been handled appropriately, and it is my professional opinion that she will not experience any related hindrances.
