Solal passed the tea to Duvosa with what seemed to be the smallest of irate sighs. “I find carrot cake to make no sense. Why mix a dessert with a health food?” He questioned, thinking. At least, it provided a temporary distraction from the insanity of the situation.

Duvosa gave a shrug of her shoulders and reached out for the teapot. She poured herself a cup, and then took a little sip, testing to make sure the tea wasn’t too hot for the drinking.
Achilleas casually reached over and wiped the cream and jam off of Ria’s nose with a finger before offering it to her with a wink, “You missed some my dear.”
Ria giggled and liked the cream and jam off Achilleas’s finger. She even sucked at it a little while grinning slightly mischievously.
He then licked his thumb and proceeded to get the rest of the sticky off her nose.
He then turned to Solal in an erudite manner. “Why it’s quite simple. The combination of carrots with confection make a sublime blend of earthy and sweet flavors. The sublimation of health and non-health properties allows one to feel good while tasting good things. Where else could this combination be found? Blueberry scones? Perhaps, as blue berries are good for you, but arguably not as good as carrots.”

While Achilleas explained all about carrot cake, Ria just continued eating her scones and taking a sip of tea now and then. While the tea had theine in it, all the food was making her a feel a little sleepy as well. So after finishing the scone, she pushed the plate, saucer and cup to the side and crossed her arms on the table. Turning her head sideways, she rested it on her arms and closed her eyes.

Duvosa sipped on the tea. She looked curiously over at Ria. “Did she just fall asleep?” She asked aloud, to no one in particular. She just stared at the other woman, her eyebrow arched, sipping her tea.

Achilleas paused mid-bite to look over at Duvosa’s words. He gently placed his fork down and said softly, “It looks like she has. Dear thing must be all tuckered out trying to host a tea party. It’s a very big responsibility. Had to sing a song and everything.”

Even though Ria wasn’t actually asleep, she felt a little tired and hoped that by closing her eyes for a moment, she’d feel more energised again. After all, she was the co-host of this tea party and should took care of their guests! So it wasn’t long till she sat up straight again and looked at everyone in the room in turn. “Are you enjoying yourself?” she asked and then jumped to her feet. “You all need more tea and food!” That said, she pushed the cucumber sandwiches towards Duvosa and Solal and then started to fill (or re-fill) every single tea cup on the table.

Solal pushed the sandwich away from himself, just a bit, hoping no one would notice. His tea cup was untouched. He had hoped they’d all stay asleep… but it appeared he was not so lucky. “I believe we’ve had enough to eat,” he said, politely, to Iyun.
