Snip

With a shine, the two patients were placed on top of their designated beds. While the Klingon was erratically twitching, the Trill stayed completely still, not a single sign of life from her body besides the slow rise and fall of her chest.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

While other medical staff were focused on the Klingon patient of greater concern, Vak went over to the Trill patient and scanned her, trying to determine the cause of her non-responsiveness.

Ensign Dabor Vak, Nurse

Chandel moved over to the Klingon and quickly scanned him with the medical tricorder, looking for the reason for the twitching. She was a bit intimidated as she had never treated a Klingon before but presumably the tricorder would have all the relevant Klingon biological data in its library.

The scans would show that there was intense neurological activity located around the area where Trill usually bonded, along with a high amount of scarred tissue. Her brain itself had a low level of activity otherwise, barely keeping her body functioning.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Paige was moving between the two areas offering assistance where she could and updating information as it came to her. “Vak, what are you finding with your exam?” She asked as she came over to Vak and the others.

As Vak was otherwise busy, the Vulcan nurse next to them spoke, “It seems that intense neurological activity is occurring around the area where Trill usually bond, and I am detecting a rather abnormal amount of scar tissue. The rest of her brain shows little to no activity, barely firing enough neutrons to keep basic function of the body operating.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Paige nodded “Put a neural inhibitor on and set it until we reverse the over activity.” She said “Use some cordrazine to assist in that.” She said “Are we seeing this activity in all of the patients or just the ones that are in a coma?”

CMO

Doing that, the nurse turned back to the CMO, “It seems to be regulated only to this patient, while the other one trapped in a coma shows increased brain activity in the sections of the brain that deal with memory.” Tilting her head, she continued, “While I do not have all of the facts yet, I will not rule out that there might be come correlation with their actions. As for the other patients, their brain waves are mostly stable, but for some strange reason, as of a few minutes ago, there was a sudden spike in all of the neural activity generally attributed to psychic connections. These situations tend to occur occasionally, especially if an injured telepath is affecting those in the room, but I believe that you would wish to know about this.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

“An injured telepath?” asked Vak, who finally stopped his hustling back and forth between the doctors, nurses, and patients. “Are there any telepaths among the patients? I haven’t come across any yet. If someone is causing the change in neural activity we should figure out who.”

Ensign Dabor Vak, Nurse

Paige listened and pulled up the information on each of the patients that were in the room, wondering if one of them was not actually who they were saying they were prior to their injuries. “Start running genomic sequences on each patient, and match them to the personnel files that we have on each of them.” She said “I have a theory…it could be that we have an imposter amongst our unconscious friends.”

CMO

“Yes, Doctor,” said Vak. He pulled up the genomic sequences of the patients from the scans and cross-referenced their medical files and also compared the genomes to the genomic information for each species in the medical database.

Ensign Dabor Vak, Nurse

Paige looked at Dabor “Keep me posted. I’m going to go check on the others in sickbay. I’ll also do some checking and see if I can find anything out. ” She said as she touched her comm badge =^=SIckbay to the Captain. Sir we may have a situation here in Sickbay, I am requesting a small security team be deployed down here.=^= She said =^=I’ll get a report to you as soon as I have something definitive.=^=

CMO

Mathias’s voice came over the comm. =^= Understood, Doctor. I’ll have a security team sent down immediately. =^=

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

OOC: Sorry about the delay everyone, holidays kind of caught up with me

IC: The comparison took only a little while. However, when the results came back, there were a wide variety of issues. Some scans showed patients as being older than their records stated, some younger. Some scans showed strange mutations, and others showed individuals in the prime of their health, despite the evidence otherwise. The scans were definitely of the patients, but they were off in strange ways.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

“Doctor, you’re going to want to look at these files,” said Vak as he was puzzling over the computer terminal. “The age and medical conditions of these patients don’t match the tricorder readings, though it seems they’re of the same people.”

Ensign Dabor Vak, Nurse
Paige returned to the other sickbay with Vak “What do you have Ensign?” She asked as she began looking at the information Vak provided with her “This is not good.” She said “This is really not good.” Paige said “We need to get scans from previous visits to sickbay, when did these changes start and are they the reason for the unconsciousness?” She asked as she touched her comm badge to contact the other ship =^=Can we please get additional medical records for the patients that were transfered to us.=^= She asked

CMO

Sofia stepped into sickbay with NEs Sabre and Cox in tow, “Where do you need us Doc?” She asked the CMO.

Paige looked up “I need you to spread out around sickbay.” SHe said “We may have some imposters that are causing issues with some of our patients. Are any of you empaths or telepaths?” She asked looking at the trio. She waited for information from the ship that had transported the patients to the Outpost. She hoped that her hunch was wrong, but she doubted that it was.

CMO

“I’m three quarters Betazoid,” Sofia replied, “I’m not as strong as a full Betazoid, but unlike half Betazoids, I’m telepathic, not empathic. I’m not as practiced as someone raised on Betazed either, but I’ll let you know what my mind can sniff out.”

Paige nodded “Just don’t get too close or too involved. I don’t need any additional injured.” She said “But if you sense something speak up.” She said “I need to get a chance to look at the information that I have requested.”

The medical records soon came in. It turned out that strangely enough, all of the scans up to a point matched the previous ones almost completely, However, at the same point in time, everything started to fluctuate. Interestingly enough, some scans would be the same as records of past injuries and checkups, but the rest were either the same, or had no matches.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

After quickly reviewing the records, Vak turned to Paige. “Doctor, I’m reviewing the records now. They were consistent up to a certain point in time. From then on they fluctuated. I recommend we review logs from the ship to determine what happened of note around that point in time.”

Ensign Dabor Vak, Nurse

“Fan out boys,” Sofia spoke to her team, “Report anything that seems off, even minor and keep out of medical’s way, but if they ask for help, give it.”

Meanwhile, she focused her mind to see what she could sense with her telepathy.

~Sofia Demakis~

Paige nodded =^=Captain we need to get the records of the ship from this specific point in time forward.=^= She said =^=We have a problem with some of the records not matching.=^=

CMO

Meanwhile, Sofia continued to walk among the people crowded about, nodding politely to them all as she tried to see what she might sense from them, she was particularly looking for signs of deception. Both what her telepathy could sense and her own training as a security officer could pick up upon.
