More pictures were shown. “I’ve noticed that the common theme of the depictions of this female figure usually have something else with her, as here she is seeming to pelt the bird with suspiciously torpedo shaped objects, and here she is seen slamming what seems to be a rather broken cube into it.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Toveka frowned slightly. “So you are thinking this is a depiction of what? Time travel and worship of a Federation ship? As well as some sort of Borg interaction? That makes no sense. There is nothing of that in our history.” She was at a loss. It made no sense to her. Why would the history of something like that have been hidden? The history as well as the shrine were a complete mystery. She glanced around. “Does anyone know where we can get the files of what occurs during time travel expeditions? Perhaps we can figure it out from the Federation side versus the Romulan side.” It was the only thing she could think of that would help.

“Let’s head to my office,” Jessica suggested. “Duncan you can help me sift through the files we have and you can see if anything rings a bell as related to Romulan culture. The powers that be aren’t too talkative with the gen pop about living in a real life ground hog day but maybe there is something that correlates. I do know there are several instances of the USS enterprise going back and forth in time but to the best of my knowledge I only remember it being about Earths history,” Jessica confided.

Toveka nodded to the XO and moved to follow her. If they could find out about past time trips, it may help them understand the archival artifacts they had found. But it would also open up a plethora of questions she wasn’t sure she could legitimately pursue without toppling all her beliefs into a pile of rubble as big as the debris field her planet now covered not too far from where she now stood.

Before they could leave, the lights flickered for a few seconds, before the room was drenched in darkness. A second later, the lights turned back on, bathing the seemingly unchanged room in light again.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Jessica looked at Duncan. “If you need more from the budget to pay the utility bill you could have just asked,” She said but with a more concerned expression on her face. Power fluctuations on a space station were never a small thing.

Tapping her comm badge Jessica looked for an answer. =/\=Operations we just lost power for a minute here in the science labs. Status?=/\=

=^= McGarrett here. We’re looking into it Commander. =^= The captain’s voice didn’t seem to quite have the confidence behind it that it usually did when he was in Ops.

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

Toveka frowned slightly as the power went out. When it came back on, she looked around the room. Something bothered her about the power fluctuation. She had been here for quite a while, had done and been part of many experiments that would have tapped heavily into the ship’s power grid. But nothing had ever even flickered. “So why now…” she half murmured.

“Oh God,” Duncan exclaimed with a dead serious look on his face. “Maybe we missed some of those mutated Tribbles that fed on the Plasma relays just after I arrived on the station.” He looked at the group and explained, “They absorbed the energy from the conduits and multiplied, fast. You know how Tribbles multiply when fed, and a Station has plenty of power. They ended up radioactive and biting people, and were brought on by traders posing as entertainment providers selling toy Tribbles, very realistic of course. If we missed even one and it was hibernating....” he raised his hands and made a ‘boom’ motion with his fingers. Then winked at Jessica.

“I doubt we will find much in the way of time travel records. Temporal Investigations classifies every file, but it won’t hurt to look.”

Lt Rhodes, CSO

Toveka frowned slightly. “I doubt you missed any, Lieutenant.” Though as she said that and glanced at him, she saw the wink and frowned deeper. “I will never get used to your sense of humor in times where it doesn’t seem right. As to the records,” she continued and tried to ignore her boss, “even if they are heavily redacted or even listed as simple ‘temporal’ troubles, it could help us out.”

She glanced to the XO. “Perhaps your clearance is better suited to the query. I know I don’t have the clearance and I would be surprised if Rhodes did, either.” She had managed to learn Duncan’s jokes but in times of crisis, his ability to make puns, jokes, and light of the situation still eluded her. She was coming, though slowly, to understand how come her fellow students thought she studied too much. It seemed she had stayed buried in her pursuit of truth to the exclusion of nearly everything else. And for some reason, she was now starting to regret that.
