SNIP
NE Flabbergas turned around and was utterly stunned by the sudden appearance of the oddly dressed woman. “Uh, I guess,” he finally said once he found the words.

Mathias walked closer to her, keeping his composure like this was a regular occurrence that happened every week at the same time of day. He then addressed the woman, “Ma’am, perhaps you have some insight that you can share with us.”

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO
NE Flabbergas, Operations

The woman delicately put a gloved finger on her lip. “Perhaps, though I’m not too sure if I am the type of being who would share it with you yet.” She looked the Captain up and down before giving a predatory grin. “Although I suppose that such an interesting specimen as yourself deserves a little hint. Things seem normal now, but that says nothing about the future.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Before Mathais had a chance to figure out exactly how to reply, a communication came in.

A Liberty-class Runabout dropped out of warp just outside the Outposts mid perimeter. It immediately sent it’s transfer records and set course for the station on one-half impulse. It contained five lifesigns, three human, one Andorian and one Tellarite. The records they sent over were the expected transfer requests for one Baldur Bragason the incoming Strategic Operations Officer out of Starbase 234. The new arrivals seemed entirely unaware of any situation on the Outpost. It sent an open hail request directed at Ops =^=Outpost 42 Operations, this is Runabout Volga coming from Starbase 234, requesting permission to Transport Lieutenant Commander Bragason and some belongings straight over, The runabout has a previous, time-sensitive, obligation it needs to meet.=^= His deep voice formal yet pleasant.=^=

Lt Commander Bragason - SOO

Mathias shook his head and shrugged. =^= Outpost 42 here. Permission granted and have Commander Bragason report to Ops immediately upon arriving. Outpost 42 out. =^=

Mathias turned his attention back toward the fancily dressed woman. “Well, it’s been a while since anyone called me an interesting speciman. I take it you know something about the future that I don’t. Who are you?” he asked.

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

Giving a slight shrug the woman leaned back and looked towards the ceiling while kicking her legs. “I’m not quite sure yet. I don’t even have a name if you can believe it. Part of me wants to be quite the troublemaker, while another doesn’t want that, as it may prevent me from enjoying all that life has to offer. All I do know for sure is that I like you Captain, perhaps afterwards we can go on a… a…” A small pout appeared on her face. “Well that’s a shame, I can’t seem to remember what it was.” A pocket watch was suddenly dangling between her fingers, the hands turning in opposite directions faster than usual. “It seems that seems haven’t quite settled yet.” Glancing over towards the closest console, she raised an eyebrow. “However, I would recommend taking care of those Romulan’s sooner rather than later. It seems as though they are not in the mood for a chat.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

“Romulans?” asked Mathias, who quickly snapped his thoughts away from the amusing notion of going on a date with this woman. Oh the fun he could have by surprising his mother by bringing her to her coffee shop. But his focus now turned to the console she was viewing.

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

Baldur had rematerialized in Transporter room 3. He made his way directly to the nearest turbolift PaDD in hand. He had sent his hand luggage with his other luggage seeing as he was asked to arrive directly to Ops. The trip from deck 14 to deck 2 wasn’t a long one so he arrived only a few minutes after his original communique. He took a step in and looked around. The first thing that caught his attention was a strange woman in a dress sitting on a railing. Baldur moved next to the Officer he recognized as the Captain of this Station, a tall man in his early thirties. “Captain McGarret, Lieutenant Commander Bragason reporting for duty.” He said in his deep bass, not looking away from the strange woman he didn’t think was supposed to be there. He took a step next to the Captain, considered raising his PaDD to full view but decided not to. There was something going on, his transfer orders and a note from Admiral Curchev, his old CO on Starbase 234 could wait.

SOO

“Welcome, Commander. You’ll have to forgive me if I wait until later to ask all the standard questions that nobody cares about that I’m supposed to ask you upon meeting you for the first time.” Before Mathias had the chance to actually explain their situation, the comm activated.

=/\=Operations what’s going on with my base, =/\= Jessica asked tapping her comm badge.

Lt. Commander Jessica Teller XO

“My base?” questioned Mathias, who seemed to be more startled by the comment than he was by odd woman who appeared out of nowhere whose clothing went out of style 700 years ago. Mathias took a second to compose himself before slapping his commbadge. =/\= McGarrett here. Commander, if you’re refering to my outpost, we’re still trying to get to the bottom of it. Though there’s a lovely woman in a Victorian outfit giving insight about our tactical situation here. I have a feeling she might be able to shed light on our power failure issues as well. Standby. =/\=

The console reports indicated that a lone ship was sighted outside of the outpost. It bore a striking resemblance to the ones used during the Dominion War, and scans would reveal that the ship’s weapon’s systems were fully primed.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Baldur looked at the console and immediately went to full alert mode. He jumped, in a rather comical fashion to the tactical console “Romulan ship just outside, weapons primed” He called out to the Captain “Raising shields, arming weapon systems” He called out as per protocol, seeing as it was an old ship he didn’t think it was very safe to stay unshielded for the moment. He looked to his new Captain with a questioning look.

“Thanks Commander, I was just about to give that order. Well, she said not to keep them waiting and I’m inclined to agree. Hail the Romulans.” Mathias glanced at their unexpected guest as he took a couple steps towards the spot he always stood when doing visual communications.

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

Baldur nodded understandingly as he tapped the communications controls on his console. He wasn’t sure what to make of the Captain just yet, he wasn’t going to let the man’s reputation be all he judged him on. His left hand hovered over the targeting systems. He was ready at a moments notice to open fire on the armed strangers if commanded to. Strange, the last time he saw that type of Romulan ship was fighting side by side with one, how times changed.

=^= Captain.. We have a missing patient.=^=

CMO

As soon as the CMO checked in, the connection to the Romulans opened. The Captain was greeted with the scowling face of a Romulan male, dressed in the normal attire of the Romulan Star Empire. Seeing that the Captain had opened a connection, the Romulan spoke, “I am commander Tomarth of the Romulan Star Empire. We were hit by your weapon, but it seems that our shields were too strong for it to affect us. As retaliation for this transgression, I demand to speak to whoever in in charge of your station.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

Weapon fire? Baldur thought quietly. He hadn’t been aware of any weapons fire from the station. He focused the hailing camera to the Captain whilst quietly transferring the Sickbay comm to his Combadge =^=Aplogies Doctor, I am Lieutenant Commander Baldur Bragason newly arrived. We have a bit of a situation in Ops and the Captain will be busy for a moment. What patient is missing?=^= He asked in hushed tones so as not to interrupt the Captains talk with the Romulans

SOO

=^=A Trill woman that was in a coma. Check your sensor logs and see if there was any kind of a spike in anything that might indicate what happened.=^= Paige said

CMO

=^=Copy, starting check=^= Baldur answered as he used his free hand to start the sensor check, pointing one of his staff to monitor the external sensors and keep an eye out for the Romulan ship.
