=/\= McGarrett here. Commander, if you’re refering to my outpost, we’re still trying to get to the bottom of it. Though there’s a lovely woman in a Victorian outfit giving insight about our tactical situation here. I have a feeling she might be able to shed light on our power failure issues as well. Standby. =/\=

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

“Yours. Mine. Ours…it all blends at times.
Jessica let out a sigh and leaned against the table. She knew his family has British roots but a Mary Poppins wanna be in a corset seemed a little too stuffy even for Mathias tastes. Still Evie had a way of finding matches for everyone out of thin air it seemed at times. “So I guess we wait,” Jessica said to her group.

Lt commander Jessica Teller. XO

((Ooc .. Not really seeing any questions actually being answered so just going with that lol))

Toveka frowned slightly. “Well, with the paperwork seeming to be in order, we can’t keep all of the artifacts,” though she added under her breath, as much as I desire it. “But I would respectfully request that this singular piece be released to us. Just for a period of time that I can study it.”

The woman glanced those present. “This is a new Discovery from a planet I called home. I cannot demand it, but I can ask that you allow it. I give you my word that I shall return it to you when I have finished.” She waited, pointedly not looking at her supervisor, for someone to answer. Something told her that her breech of protocol and ettiquite was something he didn’t approve of.

“That’s going to be up to the archaeological team here,” Duncan said, “If they allow it, I certainly won;t be getting in the way.” With that he moved to his console and brought up the schematics of the Station and the power grid status. “With the state this station is in, a few power fluctuations are not unusual but that one was bigger than normal.”

Lt Rhodes, CSO

The archeologist spoke up, “While I am not the sole decision maker for these sorts of things, I don’t think I would be able to give it to you even if I was.” She guested to the previously mentioned empty anti-gravity field that the broken tablet used be suspended within. “If you were speaking about the tablet, it seems as though it has gone missing.”

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

“Gone missing,” Jessica said in disbelief. “How is that possible. The lights were only off a second and with the power off the pneumatic doors were inoperable also. It has to be here. Check again. Maybe someone moved it,” she said to the archeologists.” Tapping her badge she contacted the tech on duty at the transporter console in operations.

=/\=. Operations it appears we had a theft during the black out. That might have been the reason for the power fluctuations. Can you check to see if anything or one Years the power fluctuations to beam in or anything out of this room =/\=.

Lt. Commander Jessica Teller. XO.

=/\= We’ll check into it Commander. McGarrett out. =/\=

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

Toveka growled under her breath and excused herself with a murmured apology. Stepping away, she moved to the Chief’s office where she could compose herself a moment. Why this was making her so upset, she couldn’t say, but anyone following her would find her, back to the door, leaning on the front of desk with her hands white and mottled from the grip. “Something is happening, Tov… THINK!” She murmured to herself.

“Okay, this is nuts,” Jessica began to feel insanely frustrated. =/\=Computer did anyone enter or exit the room from the point of the power fluctuations=/\= she asked the ship’s systems. If no one entered then nothing left. If no one beamed in then nothing left. While she was not Vulcan she was fully behind their logic statement of whenever you removed the impossible no matter how improbable you were only left with the truth. The truth here was one of three options. One was that someone entered the room via beaming and took the tablet. Two was that someone waltzed in and out of the door with the tablet and three was the darn thing was misplaced. the computer could rule out all three so Jessica posed the first of the three questions.

Lt. Commander Jessica Teller XO

Oddly enough, Toveka’s mind was on the same run as the XO’s. But her question was one of the other two possibilities. She started to tap out on the nearest console looking for the tablet, itself. They had scanned everything before moving it the first time. The computer would know if the tablet had been moved, regardless how… or so she hoped in tapping her query out. “I’m searching for the tablet’s makeup on the sensors on the ship. If it’s been moved, hopefully the computer can locate it.” She hadn’t asked the computer outright because Teller had posed a question and she still wasn’t sure her query would lead anywhere.

((Bump or dead thread?))

OOC: Sorry bout that folks, I’ll revive this right away.

The scanner showed that the unique geological signature of the tablet was located in many spots. One in sickbay, one in operations, one on deck 11, and one outside of the outpost.

Mr. Snuggles (GM)

“Oh pluck a duck,” Jessica said in an annoyed tone. “How in Hades did the tablet get there,” Jessica read the readout to answer the question she posed. Turning to face the other officers in the room. “The tablet was stolen and apparently broken,” she said to the officers in the room. “There is one in sickbay, operations, deck 11 and outside the outpost. Anyone up for a field trip,” she asked Toveka and Rhodes.

Lt. Commander Jessica Teller XO

Toveka frowned. “I suppose we need to get them all back to find out what’s going on.”

=^= McGarrett to Commander Teller. That’s a negative on transporter activity. But we do have a piece of broken stone in Ops that I believe may have value. =^=

Captain Mathias McGarrett, CO

“And we know the first stop on our scavenger hunt,” Jessica said to the people in her group. =/\=Captain we are headed your way=/\= Jessica said heading to the door and then to Ops.

Lt. Commander Jessica Teller XO

Toveka shook her head and smiled at Duncan with a slight shrug. “I guess we’re going to Ops.” She turned and followed the XO.
