Commander King sat in Ops monitoring communications between the different parties and send messages that needed his own touch. When he recalled a intel tip he had gotten, He opened into the channel between the Captain and Lancer.

=^=Captain, Commander King here, I have an unorthodox option.....Captain Khain, Captain of the I.K.S. Khazad’hea, is in the Area hunting Pirates we can request his assistance perhaps?=^= Cut in the SOO from back at the outpost.

=/\=No Sir so I say we replicate some grog and see what we can do about getting those pirates to come on over for a spell,=/\= Jessica said trying to keep the tone light. The worst thing one could do was let the crew see you were getting a bit hot under the collar. =/\=Sir it might not be the best idea but, we could use the shuttles to take some of the colonists directly to the Outpost. Prioritize. Children first followed by the the standard woman then men. This is not the most efficient but we might just get lucky and have enough room on the ship if we need an emergency beam out=/\=.

=^= Let’s evacuate using the ships if we can. If it comes to it we can use shuttles as you suggest, but we’re better off transporting the colonists on faster and better defensed vessels if we have enough. Go ahead and prioritize as you suggest with the evacuation. And Commander, be sure to lower the jolly roger on the Lancer before our pirate hunting Klingon friend arrives. I’d hate for him to get the wrong idea. =^=

Commander King muted the conversation between the Captain and the Exec, letting the computer transcribe it so he could still read it. He did a quick search to make certain the correct comm channels to use.

=^=This is Federation Outpost 42 Hailing the IKS Khazadh’ea, Commander Wade King for Captain Khain=^= Wade said sending the Hail directly to the Klingon Vessel. He knew that it might take a bit to reach the ship, and even a moment or two longer for a response to come back. That all depending on what Captain Khain was up to at the moment. Even if he was not actively engaging Pirates, Wade was not one to assume that the Klingon was going to hop to an respond immediately.

The response from the recently arrived Klingon vessel took a few minutes to come in, when the hail was picked up, Wade would find visual was available. The image would show the Klingon Captain sitting in his chair, Bridge darkened and in the background a number of consoles with real time Heads up Displays manned by similarly dressed officers, black layered leather armor, chain mail covered pauldrons and all metals in non reflective slivered tones. Khain was the only one wearing the crimson coloured cloak.

=^=You can be of great assistance Captain Khain, There is a colony in the Covus system, it has been attacked by an unknown Alien force. We could use assistance moving the colonists and perhaps fight a new foe, glory and honor abounds in this=^= not to mention Wade would owe the man a favor. =^=As a thank you for answering the call I will let you know your peoples least favored sons have fallen onto OED V with their holy quest, just so you know where the idiots are and they are not dead as many hoped=^=

The big Klingon visibly rolled his eye and sighed. =/\= Those Idiots have turned up on the Colony? I am surprised that whatever ship they arrived on didnt suffer serious damage and explode the way they carry on. Thank you Commander, I have a sudden expectation that communications with OEDV from the Empire are about to become intermittent and hard to get through. Maybe a few satellite relays will suddenly undergo complete maintenance cycles.=/\= The big Klingon broke into a wide grin, he wasn’t really serious about communications going down. Well he wanted to convey that thought anyway.

Are you in need of Transport, Commander King? I can offer you a place on the Khazad’hea if you wish, for old times sake.=/\=

Wade laughed, =^=it would be an honor but I am in charge here the Captain and the Exec are out that way with the Lancer and he trying to get Cavalry support. So I found them you, good hunting Captain.=^=

Leaning back, Khain input the required course he wanted into the small console on the arm of his chair and then glanced at the Helm Officer. “Make course corrections as required, Warp 8. Maqcha.” Then as he felt the familiar, almost non existent feeling of his stomach turning as the ships inertial dampeners kicked in and the ship jumped to Warp, he lifted his mug of coffee and his eye moved to one of his Officers. “Get me everything we have on that system and colony” he told the man, “and tell the High Counsel that as of this moment, OEDV can be considered under a communications Quarantine.”
